  1. (Y) top trailer m8... can't wait for the real vid to come out.

only thing i would say was the editing, to be honest the only parts of the editing i didnt like was the big flash of red / blue etc.... but other than that i think it worked well..

..good riding for your age , keep it up B)

  2. you will only be able to burn to a VCD or SVCD because u have a cd writer not dvd. but thats not a problem, just means you won't be able to have loads of clips (depending on size) on the disk.

i tend to use a mixture of 2 programs if im burning something for a vcd. i encode it using MainConcept MPEG Encoder (to VCD) then i use nero and burn it using the vcd part of the program.

Alternatively you can just buy a DIVX player (around £30/40) which plays almost any format including dvd's,cd's, avi's, divx's, xvid's etc and all you have to do is burn your media to a disk as data.

    divx player

^^^ link to a divx player, can search for better ones but this was just an example of one.

    hope this info helps,

  3. If you ment 60 mph then that would be a ban, double the speed limited is a ban from driving, apart from on the motorway 100mph is a ban on there.

lol, yeah i did mean 60 mph. and i didn't get banned. depends on the who u get pulled by i rekon. i m8 was doin 110 doiwn a 40 followed and pulled, and didnt get no point. a section 59 instead (which means if he gets another section 59 his car gets impounded)

  4. bolted ones = shite. and u can get round the not fitting kmc kool chains with a little butchering. :-

but yeah used to run one and would lose tension every 5 hops, got very annoying so scrapped it.

hope i helped in some way,

  5. Also top tips , get a tripod (Y) , try the same lines over and over with the camera in different positions, start using fades at the start and the finish of every video as its more pleasing and smoother.

    second that comment (Y)

  6. Basically, the first half of the video had an effect on each scene. Flashing, cutting, speed, etc. I thought the area of the video after you'd stopped using those effects was more enjoyable to watch.

Thanks alot for your comments ben. This was the main reason why i posted it on trials forum because i wanted other peoples views on how it could be improved upon, and what areas they liked about it.

i shall take everyones views onboard and try not to include effects that may take concentration i guess off the riding.

Someone found the video effects tab : :- , yeah its good to play about with all of that and the key framing and stuff at first but just remember to KIS , Keep it simple. Someone the best editing is done when filming, if you have poor footage then there is no point in editing as it will be an uphill struggle.

well...yeah, lol. i did find the effects and transition tabs :$

Thanks for the 'KIS' i shall have to remember that. although i did feel i was trying to put more effects in as my riding is nothing that special. Thanks again for posting your views (Y)

  7. adobe premier im new to it to be honest with this vid it was a bit of a practice using the different affect and stuff just to see wat they look like, watching iother peoples videos transition etc in the intro then you try to keep them to a minimum

Yeah nice vid considering was your first run on the program. i think ^^^ as someone said above, you should go with the Hip Hop music, may suit your riding style better :)

  8. Your linking and timing of song element to action element I thought worked really well in parts.

My criticisms though are that I felt it was slightly over edited in parts. Admitedly, this is something I sometimes like. In this case however, I think what would have worked better for my own enjoymant would have been a video that besides the intro, just focused on linking the music to the riding.

I'm glad that you managed to pick up on the timing, this was something that i spent quite a while trying to get right. :)

Thanks alot for the constructive critisism, i will try and cut down on using the effects as much. Just wondered though, what you feel was over edited? Was it the transitions between clips or the effects to the clips?

And yes hopefully with a bit more riding and footage there should be another installment. (Y) i may need your help again on compression techniques :- as i don't feel the quality came out as good as it could have.

    Thanks again,

    Ollie
