  1. im fed up of clipping my hose. braided seems the logical route to go down. Anyone having problems with these i know there used to be rumours of them leaking and stuff. also any idea where the cheapest place to get them from (i only want a rear), had a look at a few sites but still quite expensive.

  2. Yup your right that reg belongs to Lambo UK and is used on their press cars.

lambo will more than likely have lent it to the MET for the show, free of cost.

stop being so pathetic about this. it obviously is just a publicity stunt and by the fact that your all taking about it appears to have worked.

  3. mmm s3's are very sexy.

just to throw a few ideas at you for that sort of cash

    vw golf v6 2.8.

bmw personally i prefer e46 models over the e36 even though you won't get a m3 for that price. the coupes look prety sexy to me though...one here

clio 182 cups are supposed to be awesome to drive.

erm also you could get something with a bit less class but a bit more punch, with a decent evo or scoob.

saying that though i think i would still go with the audi. something about audi's that just suggest quality. plus an s3 is going to be far from slow.

  4. well it is hard to measure, especially as ionic bonds aren't single, but instead as you say form a gaint ionic lattice.

for gcse's you don't need to know which is stronger, just know that both are strong.

The quoted figure though are, (f**k knows how they actually manage to work it out):

    ionic 120-450 KJ/mol

    covalent 120-550 KJ/mol

however it varies greatly according to the crystal type.

  5. right im having a f**king nightmare with my magura. i just cn't seem to get them to stop leaking between the side of the hose and this IPB Image

i bleed it up and if i give the brake a big pull i can feel the pressure slowly dropping and can see liquid squeezing out at ^ that point.

im using standard magura hosing. is there anyway to get it really tight on?

how are you all putting this bit in the hose in the first place?

    cheers for any help. (Y)

  8. /\ thats not always true, i was on a bench the other day, and some old women started hitting me with her walking stick. She didnt even ask me to move or nothing?

yer but by convention to 99.9% of the population a public bench is for sitting on. whatever you percieve it as to the general public it looks riding on it will damage it. i think you have to see it from her view. you describe her as an old women, trying to get a young strong male off a bench. can you not see how she would be threatened by the situation? sure you cannot condone what she did, but you can understand why she did it.

i am sure you can find many other examples, im not saying this is always the right way, however being a willy to the majority of old people isn't going to help. how would you like some young guy squaring up to say your parents or grandparents and making them cry just because they told you not to touch a sign. i for one would be damn f**ked off.

  9. I was riding up a sign in portsmouth and some guy on a becch told me to not touch the sign, so I sidehop over it, he then tells me to "f**k off", so I then go and sit next to him on the wall where he was sat. He stood up, faced me and said "you are in a very procurious position" (i just guess that he was going to push me off so I would fall 9ft) so I stood up, walked around him, so he was closer to the wall than i was, squared up to him and said "and now you are".

I then walked off, then a mate came up to me and said the guy had just started crying, lol.

i hope that made you feel big...

maybe i have more respect for people, but i know that in the vast majority of situations, i as a trials rider i am in the wrong. im not going to deny that i bash the occasional wall all be it by accident. i have close shaves with the occasional pedestrian and i ride on private property. for this reson i am fully willing to take the occasional abuse and accept that i am in the wrong. i often find that being polite and uncomfrontational is a far far better solution than feeling somehow that you have to have the last word. i don't feel the need to get cocky with people just to be drawn into a niggly argument.

each to there own. but you can guarantee that by taking a more laid back approach you won't be half as pissed off when somebody does say something, plus people will be far more laid back with you in the future.

    my thoughts.

  10. i have a fair bit of pressure on me, and im not fully commited to the decision i have made. i have chose to go to uni however i made a poor second choice and realised that i won't be going to my insurance choice.

This leaves me with the pressure to get into the uni course i want, at AAA.

I am fine in two subjects but struggling like mad in chemistry to get what i need. i also know that if i dont get it i will be absolutely gutted, not just because i didn't get in, but also because i know i will have failed at something i know deep down i can achieve. i don't want to be in a position when im older knowing that i have under achieved.

on the plus side if i don't get in i will be working for six months then going to australia and new zealand.

i wish i could work in a shop the rest of my life and be satisfied. But working in one at the moment at weekends is quite frankly bollocks.

i guess i know that if i get the degree i want, in economics, i will reap the rewards in the future, be that with good pay and job opportunites. plus i can't wait for the chance to go to uni and enjoy myself. i have no worries paying off the debt in the future.

qualifications get you a long way especially in the path i am taking. having said that they are definately not for everyone, many of my friends have left school and are doing well.

i guess it come down to what job you want to do at the end. Don't waste your time doing a degree if you don't need it. (Y)

  11. i have a ecto team long. i choose it because i find it far more comfy to ride than a short one.

the extra length seems to have little effect on my riding (i can still bunnyhop etc) but i find ups to front wheel are alot easier. and i can tap it which i cant on shorter ones. the sort ones feel really cramped to mine when i ride them now.

stocks just don't feel right to me. the wheels are always massive! and the low long and silver brigade always feel like bloody boats! i can't seem to get the accuracy on one, and although it maybe 'cheating' i dont see the point in riding something that i find more difficult to progress on?

i cant suggest a bike to you, but all i can say is make sure you ride a few different sizes before you make your mind up. (Y)

  12. sorry to sound negative but who in there right mind will buy a brand new brand trials bike, off somebody with limited experience in trials (riding for 4 months?) and is 13 years old?

i know i sure as fook wouldnt be handing over my money.

my advice is at your age enjoy riding for what it is without worrying about trying to make a frame company or hunt for sponsorship. at your age you should be out improving and enjoying yourself! i know i sure wouldn't want the hassel of trying to organise what you are trying to do at the age of 13!

unless you care to notice, must other frame companies get af oot in the door by having well respected people behind them. ashton... hermance's dad.... ot pi....

even the importers of frames are well respected.... the savages.... adam and dave at tarybikes...

these people know so much and i would much prefer to spend my cash investing in there expertise, in the knowledge that there frames have been tested by world champions etc..
