  1. hats off to you on your efforts most people, including me, cannot be bothered.

as i am from skipton i will ride if i am around, (i am away most of the summer though).

i do however want to know what you want to achieve from a demo like this? what are you trying to advertise? unit trials?

strikes me from your website you seem set on finding sponsors? to not be harsh but from the media on your website it seems as though you may struggle(vids seem good though(y) ) . to be honest i think you are much better concentrating on riding for fun. leave the demos to the people who do it commercially. if you do choose to do it maybe be link it into another event? local farmers market? sheep day ?? etc

if you ever fancy a ride there are a fair few riders in skipton. give us a buzz.

  2. yer quite a good film, i couldnt understand it fully though, i got the jist. didnt help that when we went to see it there was a fire alarm in the 15 screen multiplex, funny at first but f**king irritating after standing in the freezing cold!

  3. i sat 3 economics modules;

    module 1 90/90

    module 3 97/105

module 4 86/120 which will be retaken in the summer.

plus i had 90/90 from last summer in module 2.

last two module i need two c's (Y):) to get an A overall.

and got an A in the chemistry module i resat. taking it again in the summer though to try to bump up my marks making the harder A2 modules easier....

so i was very happy with my results.

  4. ok so bash plate bolts both snapped in my frame after landing on a rail at a fair speed. drilled both bolts out but can see it is going to be an arse using a hellicoil on them.

so basically can i keep my current cranks, these; (echo mod cranks 158)

    IPB Image

    and my current sprocket; (echo)

    IPB Image

and use one of these. echo 7075 bashring.

    IPB Image

im asking because it doesnt look like there is much room on the thread of the crank for a bashring and a sprocket.

    cheers.

  5. awsome video matt (Y)

awsome day up addingham, bugger me it was cold though! loved seeing myself with all that white crap all over my arse. the dead arse lasted atleast 3 days lol!

shame my brake froze and had to ride someone elses.

video though is awsome. also like somebody else said these guys are hardcore. anyone who ventures up addingham in -3 degrees at midday has got to be a bit wrong in the head!!!

  6. right basically i can switzerland squeeker, i want to take it too the next step and use my momentum instead of pulling back with you feet. but i just can't seem to keep the momentum and the balance at the same time. i manage the 180 and then role back about 50 cm before either dropping the rear wheel or the rear end spinning out.

basically i want to know what sort of speed you approach it at, whether you use your front brake, how you position your body, and finally any techniques for rolling back straighter rather than curving like i seem to.

    cheers for any advice

  7. i have a problem, i get noise but no picture tried re downloading quicktime v7 but still no luck.

it says that i 'don't have the compressor'?

    any ideas anyone?

    cheers in advance

  8. haha i am completely the opposite to 'flower'.

i would recommend you don't buy expensive pedals, they simply don't last and aren't worth the money. v12's and v8's last just as long as a set of wellgo v8 copies that cost about a £10.

i never break the bearings, however the studs either get punched back into the pedal wrecking the threads or they wear down. the v12's punched through the threads. i am more happy to buy a new set of pedals every 6 months at £10 than replace a £40 quid set!

your other option is vp's equally cheap but i just dont get on with them.

  9. smo that seems expensive.

im with norwich union. paying £598.99 for a 4 year old 1.6 206. (insurance group 6) in my dads name,he does have a large no claims bonus, with me as a named driver (i have been driving less than a year, and am 17 years old)

thats for 14 months (2months were chucked in free) fully comprehensive with no claim protected.

used confused to find it out, bit or an arse but definately worth the hassel, i saved 400 from the renewal quote.

saying all that had i insured it in my name it was hard to find a sub £1800 quote.

  10. you cant compare a bugatti and an F1 car they are designed for totally different things. its like comparing a bike designed for the road and a mountain bike. granted both are designed to go as fast as be it humanly possible, but they have different limiting factors. the conditions put on a mountain bike mean it will never be as quick.

An F1 car has far superior aerodynamics suspension etc set specifically for each test track.

to make a car that come even half as quick as it, that you can use on the road, any weather, any time and expect to last for 20 years is a masterpeice.

F1 tyres last for 70 miles! these are designed to do far more than that. crapping that much engineereing into a road going car is unbelievable. it has 4 turbo's and 10 radiators!

as well as this it is designed to take two adults comfortably round. not some F1 driver wedged in lying flat on his arse.

in my mind it is a hell of an achievement. i much prefer i company lose 100 million on producing a car like this that pushes the boundaries of road cars than waste hundreds of millions on F1. after all these companys make so much money they really dont have to worry about it.

dont forget this car has passed the same vw tests as your average vw golf!

whether it is a in the same group as concorde etc i guess will depend on what follows it??

  11. bullshit :P

say you have been offered a good deal from elsewhere and unless they can meet it you will be tempted to leave.

say you have other members of your family who will also change.

    and haggle!

im mananaged to cut my contract form 20 ish down to £14 a month and i got a D600 when they first came out for £60 quid. they offered me far less till i started to complain :P

seems to be the one thing you can actually haggle for in todays world (yet i try with most things!).

  12. if there is an increase in demand for platinum then the demand curve shifts right (ie higher price and increased quantity.)

if palladium is made from platinum, then the cost of production of pallidium will be higher. ie for each price a smaller quantity will be supplied by firms. (less firms will be efficient enough to supply the goods at that price)

this is represented by a leftward shift in the supply curve on a d + s diagram for palladium.

  13. don't think it was a problem with the money being sent taking the time more like the day it was sent . i think he wanted it a few days earlier so he could order new cranks, not 100% sure.

either way he aint one to rip anyone off so i wouldnt worry.i will tell him to give you a buzz if i see him today.
