  1. 20 or 26 isn't about anything or than preference mate. its not about height and its definitely not about being to weak for one or the other. i ride both and just prefer the 20. thats not to say theres anything i can do on the 20 that i cant do on its big brother. to add to that my 20 is heavier than the other. have a go on both and see which your more comfortable on. watch Neil t and CLS videos, they go can both scale some massive gaps, drops etc etc but have slightly different attacks. may help push you one way or the other.
  2. i had the same problem with my try-all one. mine didn't come with a spacer. i cut a circle type shape from a coke can just smaller than the freewheel, flattened it out and cut a hole on the middle the size of the threads on the crank arm and put it between the freewheel and bash ring. perrrfect. hope that helps
  3. this kinda stuff will have you pondering for years. but as for the current discussion.i cant answer the question of how long. and neither can NASA apparently. i did a few calculations and without being into quantum physics or a qualified astrophysicist and i cant be sure weather the outcome is anywhere near but eh! who can be...its space and its all just speculation. so here it goes.. speed of light is a variable depending on permeability and dialectric constants and also dependable (as where talking about space) on different planetary orbits. (IE. what time of the day/month/year you decided to go for a 50 year blast round the multi verse) A. speed of light= 186282 miles/second (ish) B. 50 years= 1576800000 seconds a*b= 9314100 (without the equation for time dialation this is as far as i got) some want to work the rest out.!!! lol. (this may help) where v is the velocity of the object and c is the speed of light. At v=c this goes to infinity, or in other words, time would stop for an object moving at the speed of light. This is not a problem because objects can't go at the speed of light -- it would take an infinite amount of energy (and their mass would also become infinite).
  4. some good advice there for you mate. to learn your preloading you want the take off and landing to be same height. and for learning to bring the bike up in the air try gapping up. for any big gap i go sideways on to it or i just cant get the distance OR hieght
  5. gash.. too heavey. had an 06 typhoon (mod) perfect!! now got 07 typhoon. geo is pants compared to 06. an is too heavey. saw the 08 a few months ago and you can tell its gonna be even heavier. they ruined the czar by adding cnc'd bits. as said.. get an a1 or the LE model. no doubting it looks beautiful. but i wont be buying 1. going back to the 06 after xmas. a cute birds no good if she weighs 23stone (sorry for any spelling mistakes. iespell has broke up for christmas)
  6. quality vid there mate. as said..very well put together. like the inventive lines, very impressive. what forks do you use?
  7. woah!! thats just blown my gammon.speechless! bad situation at a bad time. my thoughts go out to all his family and friends.
  8. when your in a situation where you know they want your bike all sorts of things run through your head from running away to running at them. if they ask for a go. maturely say no. if they start talking like some wannabe gangtster (with all the "innits" etc) condescend to them. they get confused as hell. and a confused chav isnt a tough chav. keep belittling him. if he still thinks hes big enough to take your bike.. kick him as hard as you possibly can in the balls. dont care how hard you are. you cannot take a shot in the pills without curling up. a hard one just ends your day pretty badly. stand your ground but dont be aggressive untill you have to. then just go mental.
  9. welcome mate. as said.. follow the rules and don't email the admin asking why your not validated yet.lol.
  10. thank you guys. much appreciated. still got my 06 but riding my 07 at the moment and it feels easier to ride. got me wondering what the difference in Geo was.. thanks again
  11. hi all. does anybody know the geo of the 2006 gu frames. i have used search and cannot find it. don't know if its because I'm not a member yet. and rather than take the opportunity to growl at me. if there has been a discussion on this just point me in the rite direction. (ie. key words used) i want info not a bunch of kids giving me sarcasm. genuine replies very much appreciated.
  12. absolutely fantastic. best bike i rode. missed bashplate though so i got the 07. good...but not as good.
  13. my eno (before it went over next doors fence) used to skip alot. i just stripped and cleaned it all. rebuild it and it was fine. for a week. got borde...got a try-all. the new monty one is mint too.
  14. i just sit at home and make models out of milk bottle tops and listen to beethoven. im not allowed out when its wet,
  15. its a 07 typhoon 20". pulo forks, viz logic stem, try-all rage bar.
  16. hi guys. what pads and size rotor would you suggest for the BB7? thanx
  17. hi mate. Ive never tried a rear hope. but Ive recently changed to a try-all 108.9 and its great. really responsive. also got a Monty freewheel in the post for 07 typhoon 26 so ill let you know how that feels in about a week when Ive tried it. stay away from the eno though. its pants. not worth the money atall.
  18. theres nothing wrong with you and your mate having the same bike. me another lad i ride with both ride gu, two lads with us ride the exact same onza. one on a zhi and the other a monty. although you've got an excuse not to buy an onza now. id run with it and buy a decent bike instead.
  19. right. there is no comparison between bashplate and ring. regardless of what it looks like. bashplate works as designed. i bought a 06 typhoon (bashring) rode it 4 a few months and just had to get rid. the bottom bracket over a longish period of time just wont stand up to the impact of using a guard for what its designed to be there for. got the 07 typhoon a few months ago and its great. buy it. you wont be disappointed. apparently the 08 typhoon is on the pulo website named pulo something (not much use i know) but you'll know it when you see It.
  20. hi you mate. Ive got a cracked level boss that i rode hard for years and it never broke. but if you are thinking of getting it repaired. get it done by a professional while its just airline to save the material stretching, otherwise it just wont feel right afterwords. personally. if its a bargain, buy it and ride it as it is. id quite happily ride my level boss tomorrow and not think twice about a 5foot gap or 6foot drop etc. (email me for disclaimer.lol)
  21. i find i get that. only when I'm doing something new though. ill have a few goes at it then eventually nail it. an hour or day later i cant quite do it. i have a few mins, then have another go but don't think about how to do it. just know you've just done it and have another go. that works every time for me and the lads i ride with. sounds kind of daft i know but it works. don't think of when to pull up, how hard to kick etc just have a go. relax and have fun. thats what its supposed to be about after all. having fun. don't let it stress you out or it becomes a chore.
  22. haha. i enjoyed reading that. top comment "scopse" anyway... best of luck to you mate. see you back here in a month or three when youve decided you wanna ride trials again. anticipating your next question in a few months..."ive been riding street now for three months and decided i wanna ride trials again, any suggestions on which bike i should go for".. dont buy a saracen.
