  1. Hello mate. I had the same problem. To be honest i expected more from the blue rock pads. Ive changed to try-all yellow and not really had any problems. have you tried rubbing the pads up with some sand paper? just to take the dirt out of them. If that doesnt help then i would say your just going to have to grind up more often. Oh, and make sure the pads are landing perfectly flat on the rim. Its shocking how much difference that makes.
  2. So the piston in the lever body is stuck in and wont return? Just whip the bolt out of the lever (where the hose fits in) and disonect the hose, then push a small diameter but long length allen key through one of the holes and push the piston back out. not an ideal fix but thats what i do. goog luck.
  3. It depends on your riding mate in my opinion. creepy crawlers are great, but have a little more rolling resistance than the echo tyre. If you just ride street and like to bunny hop sort of thing, I would go for the echo. But they are pretty shite on rocks.
  4. Are you going straight forward or at a slight angle? I cant gap for shit forward, about 1m40. If i go slightly sideways on i can do double that.
  5. Yeah, sounds like your screwed. Try and get a replacement hub thats splined rather than screw on. like the GU. mine was about 45 quid.
  6. Echo lite mate. Echo team has that daft booster built in that doesn't actually do anything, just add weight, and the brake mount holes don't go all the way through, just the thickness of the booster plate so the anchor of the bolts isn't as good as it could be causing more flex. And the lite is cheaper.
  7. I pump it up untill it feels hard enough. Bald rear Maxxis and a 99p Wilkos innertube.
  8. Hi mate. It kinda depends on what your trying to achieve. Do you need a new rear wheel, or is purely for asthetics. And if your going for a new frame are you sure the GU le is the one you want. Dont know the specific geometery, but the GU will be a world away from your onza.(longer, lower, higher BB) Anyway. If your wanting to improve your riding, go for a new frame. If you just want your bike to be pretty, Spend the money on shiney gold bits.
  9. Thank you mate. Bleed from the bottom as before but each cylinder separate. Sounds fun!
  10. Hi people. Just built a replacement hose including the Monty splitter and wondered if you guys had any tips on bleeding it now theres no crossover. Thanks.
  11. Id say check out Tartybikes aswell. Good selection to suit any budget.
  12. Hi mate. personally. The avid bb7. Im using 185 front rotor with try-all forks. (with the reinforced steerer) not sure how strong the crown will be on your forks so go for the 165. Its an amazing brake, doddle to set up/maintain and as cheap as a wank. Not tried the new Try-all/hope but i didnt get on with old hope mono. And the formula oro that Tarty sold is abit weak.
  13. 20" or 26"? the 20" is pretty easy to find, quite often 1 on ebay. the 26" is a different story.
  14. go for the echo id say. im using try-all rear and its shite. nice tough rim but i have to grind it way too often or the brake gets scary.
  15. im not the sort of person that hangs up on what i look like to other people. n yeah maybe your right in hindsight. but it aggrevated me. didnt mean it as abuse
  16. i dont think ill have that option soon. lol
  17. whas the f**kin point in a trials forum that wont allow someone to ask advice without getting shitty comments. i now the rules and i have no intention of trying to sell them on here. i wanted ADVICE you tosser why close the topic. if i cant come here and ask the community whas the f**kin use in it. anyone know any trials forums that are not administrated by monkeys. i appreciate the amount of work it must take and the hours put in to ensure the smooth running of a forum like this one, but my god your a f**king idiot
  18. hello all. happy new year. im about to list a few frames on ebay and would like your ideas on what theyre worth. Koxx levelboss-short-26". nce resparay, no dents, cracks. looks sweet. Monty 221Ti 20". + 221 forks bars and stem. awful colour but good condition. headset missin a few parts. BB still in(isis). think its go the rear hub aswel. 07 gu typhon 20" pretty good condition, no dents. rear hs33 mount threaded + needs re-tapping. 07 gu typhoon 26" like new condition, used about 4 times. rear 26"wheel, (gold try-all rim, gold echo hub.) and a like new set of try-all sticky tyres 26". thanks for your help.
  19. alright fella. i live in sutton. best place i can think of in mansfield is the little quarry behind odeon cinema. a few of us venture down there on a sunday when the weathers ok. ive not rode street in mansfield for about 3 years though so cant help there. have fun mate
  20. very impressive. love the drop to front wheel. what front brake and fork you using?
  21. try-all or monty. eno and tensile both skip..so does king hub.(an awful lot)lol.
  22. hi mate. dont know if its much use but supercylces in notts did that a few years ago on a mountain bike. ask em where they got lever from. the lever was made for the job. looked a treat. not my sorta thing though. cant be arsed with setting 1 brake never mind 2 in sync. lol
  23. in my opinion mate. the ENO wasnt very good atall. constantly slipping and coming loose. and the pawls wear down way too fast. using try-all now... let you know how it goes.
  24. smear Vaseline around the bit of BB you have sticking out between crank arm and frame then put it in front of speaker turned up full.
