  1. Yeah it was really deep. There is another weather warning tonight aswell so may wake up to another day of boarding tomorrow. Fingers crossed, the only problem here is everyone is panic buying food, deliverys have been struggling to get to the supermarkets so there is also less food. Plus all side roads havend been gritted, so its really icy everywhere untill you get to a main road!
  2. Its been great!! A few amazing days of snowboarding down snowy hills, building jumps for the boards and getting mentioned on local radio, for snowboarding down the road past a presenters house!! This is how much snow we got!
  3. Seriously!! That is slightly anal surley?? (I) stand to be corrected by mods LOL fair enough, sounds like you got a good deal!!
  4. LOL what i mean is When i am validated i would like to post in the wanted section to try and find me a bike. I know that i can't post before i'm validated, so i will just keep doing what i'm doing untill i am.
  5. By helping me out i mean i can post in the wanted section to see if someone has a cheap bike to sell. I started this thread to see what sort of bike to expect, hopefully i am doing ok to get validated, when it happens maybe i will be able to find a bike.
  6. Yeah wouldnt bother filling it. As i said i'm only after cheap fun really, something that fits in my car a bit better than my 26". Not worried about cosmetics as long as it works. I think i will have to post in the wanted section when i get validated, hopefully somone can help me out.
  7. It seems like everything good, cheap bikes are hard to find. fixing things isn't a prob as i'm a trained bike mechanic. Ideally it needs to have maggie hs33s that work well and nothing else is important as it can be easilly fixed
  8. click Looking at this there is a dent in the frame. Ok or not so good in this place on a T-pro?
  9. LOL that was a joke i have no intentions of riding any distances at all lol
  10. Yeah right i don't want it for trials, i'm really using it for long rides in the woods and i have a triathalon coming up soon!! Anyway i meant unconforrtable as in the riding position (handlebars look really out streched), and they look heavy? Obviously you have one and say they are light which is good. Just seen one on ebay, got a bit of a dent in it but looks ok.
  11. I don't know what it is but they look really uncomfortable to ride (strange to say i know). Any experiences?
  12. Looking to buy a 20" trials bike just to mess about on and i want to spend about £100. What do you recommend? Obviously not expecting loads for my money but as i say its just a play thing.
  13. Just out of interest, why would you say hs33s are better than vees?
  14. Depending on how much you want to spend i suppose. As i said in my opinion i find hs33s to be the best, easy to set up easy to bleed well worth £100 of anyones money. I just have never got on with v-brakes.
  15. Another vote for for hs33s, much better than v-brakes IMO.
  16. Can you get any of this stuff thats been properly made. As in delivered to you flat packed and you build it up yourself? Like for example, the rigs trials teams use?
  17. As title really Ben thinking about getting a 20" trials bike for around £100 just to mess about on. I started trials years ago and still have a mod mission reefer. Just really want to know any pros and cons downsizing to a 20" wheel. Cheers Kieran
  18. to be honest im not too bothered. i know i will keep what ever i get even if i dont use it loads, it will be there when i fancy a ride so im not worried about re sale value
  19. Thanks hopefully when i am validated i can get on the for sale section a pick me up a half decent bike to play around on.
  20. Just ordinary road tar, you can use a lighter to mould it into balls and then keep in a bag in your pocket. Be carefull though because the lighter melts it so dont keep it on for too long. Also dont put to much on your rims because your bakes will just stay stuck on and you will look like a right tool going over your bars! lol
  21. I love crates, you can do what you like with them, build platforms, gaps, ramps even a full trials course if you like. Plus once its built you fell like you have achieved something, then you have to ride it, perfect it and feel great that you have just ridden your own creation.
  22. i wouls also recommend a set of DMR v8s. The grip is really good, and never had any problems. Also what ever pedals you get if for what ever reason your foot does slip its going to bloody hurt anyway, so do what i did and invest in some shin guards. hope this helps
  23. Cheers for the replys. That T-mag is the sort of thing i'm after and that style of frame. I am looking to spend about £200 ideally from someone close enough to test ride first, Kent isn't not too far away but i am going to America on friday but if it isn't sold by the time i get back in a couple of weeks i would seriously think about buying. A couple of you mentioned the older T-pro model, any pros and cons against the T-mag?
  24. Hi I'm new to the forum my name is Keran and i haven't ridden trials for a good couple of years now. My bike is a 26" Mission Reefer which is great to ride, with Mavic D521s, HS33s, middleburn RS7s, etc. Anyway i'm now looking to start riding again but looking for a 20", so just after some advise from you guys that own these bikes on any pros and cons? I'm not looking to spend loads of money as i won't be taking it too seriously, just after the buzz i used to get from jumping a big gap, up and down walls etc. So there we go enough from me what have you got? Cheers Kieran
