  1. If your back hurts, 9/10 it's because you have a weak core. We all know the difference between muscle soreness and pain. If it's pain, your core sucks. Nothing more to it.

he is correct. However the thing that most people don't know is how to get a strogner lower back. I know exactly the spot your talking about, what U need to do is sit ups and leg crunches. Do ab workouts. They naturally make your back 1000 times stronger. Now the other thing that can cause this is frame geo. If you are too hunched over or ride too short a frame it can make this problem, however with a strong back you can ride any geo frame and have no pain. Trust me I had 2 friends with this exact problem, and I had this problem too and fixed it with ab work outs. So go for the six pack, its really worth it. Keep working out till you can do 1000 sit ups. Ab work outs build back muscles without risking any injury too them so you dont have to be afraid to push really hard. Biking and especially trials riding puts mega strain on your back, so even with better geo it will only help 5-10% by boosting your core you will never have back pain again. If this doesnt work see a doctor, but this should work. Just make sure you are progressing, make sure you are doing more leg crunches and sit ups each time. Btw the spot that hurts is almost exactly 1 fist length up from your but crack right?

  2. why? Are you leaving trials? :(

no, I have been working on antitron 5 for years, and it will be finished in about another year. I am not making any more videos because it will be the best I possibly can make. My body is at its physical peak, and that part of you that makes you try dangerous things is almost gone, + I need to get a career and stuff.

I don't have much fun riding, and after this vid is done I will only ride for fun which is like never basically lol.

  3. Just wondering how you swung that - did you just drop them an email and ask about it? Cost you much?

Certainly seems that you're happy on it so it can't be a bad thing, nice work (Y)

yeah I just send them my email and a video and explained I need a custom frame to help progress my riding, and he liked the video and stuff so we worked together for like a year and designed it and built it. It was a good price it was about 1000$. So like 500 gbp or soemthing

  4. Sorry to be a pedant but 18.8lbs isn't 1.75kg it's 8.5kg.

To be honest I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to point it out. Clearly I have nothing better to do with my time at the moment.

edit: hold on, are you refering to just the frame?

yeah the frame is 1.75 the bike is 18.8. I think i like lbs for a frame because its really hard to loose a kg but its easier to loose a lb so I feel like all the weight saving pays off better when I say I lost a lb lol.

  5. cant argue with my logic hehehe. I have ridden many many bmxes many times, but no one on this planet can say they have ridden my bike, Their is only 2 of them that exist and the owner the first one is me, and the owner of the second one is also me. So if you haven't tried it you can't say how strong or well it rides. I designed the geo and all that stuff so its a unique feel.

I rode my because simple frame for 2 years and it didnt break. That frame uses 2.0 tubing this one is 2.2, has more guessets and is a stronger design . I think keeping the toptube and seatstays exactly the same angle really boosts strength because the frame can not flex at the seat area because its 1 solid beam. + its made of U6 instead of 6061

  6. Ignore the individuals that are ignorant about the nature of fashion and convenience of classification. As is standard they try to draw you into their world of confusion as though they are ironing out your problem and not their own.

I enjoy watching your riding regardless of whether your style doesn't adhere to the typical way a mod bike is rode. In my eyes, you're just a bike rider expressing a style that you enjoy and are obviously competent at.

Good stuff and keep it up; you've definitely got skills on a bike.

edit: are you sure your bike is 1.75kg?

thanks for the comments from everyone, yes its definately is exactly 1.75 kg, the whole bike is 18.8 lbs. Why I use kg and lbs is hilarious lol

  7. it looks horrible. The only thing i like about the bike is the pedals (i wanted some of them :( i had to get black ones ) what frame is it? zoo? echo?

EDIT: and cut down your steerer mate.

its a custom speedrace frames. AND IT IS NOT UGLY ish awesome! (N)

  8. My green machine is comeplete. It rides as awesome as it looks. Made a really quick vid on it and then noticed a innertube bubble was coming out of my tire... was lucky I saw that when I did otherwise it would have exploded.

I had about an hour of daylight to film the video too so I can safely say this is by far the worst video I have ever made hahaha. Oh well Antitron 5 is still coming but not for another year. It will be my last video so I want it to be cool. Enjoy!

This is my the custom frame built by speedrace.

The bike is really really good. 1750 grams 350 cs 985 wb +55 bb

  9. :giggle:

PVA is basically wood glue- the stuff you used to use in primary school that starts out white and dries clear but is fun to play with as it dries into a sticky blob. It's actually Polyvinyl Acetate but would be readily available from a hardware store. Petrol is what you weird people over the pond call 'gas' or 'gasoline'. It's what the majority of cars run on.

awesome lol. I think that would be really smokey and explosive though. I found the perfect solution though. Wood finish. Its like syrup and takes over a day to dry if you leave it in clumps. + its cheap. Thanks for all the suggestions from everyone.

  10. well the reason I want it hot, is because I want the wooden surface underneath it to catch on fire also. The smoke is an issue especially if it burns for a long time. If I used gasoline or something the wooden surface wouldn't catch on fire because the burst of fire is too short which is why I need something that lasts longer. Burning wood is actually quite diffuicult unless you have a massive fire going already. Especially if its not firewood. Liquids are fine, but gels are just easier to work with, you can see exactly where it is and it doesn't move. The location I am doing this in is 100% safe, their is 10 km of snow in every direction and its enclosed inside a rock bowl without a tree in any direction for 50km, its 1000 times safer than smoking a cigarette in your house, everything in the universe is illegal though regardless of if it effects anyone in any possible way. People make money by catching people on the technicality of a law, its like when I got arreseted for riding my bike on a side walk. I don't know if the UK is that bad but I actually got tackled and handcuffed, and it was a trials bike how the hell am I supposed to ride it on the road it goes 1kmph blah blah blah I am ranting anyways I am just trying to explain why I dont want to draw attention which is why smoke is an issue. If its a short burst that should be ok but seeing as how riding on a sidewalk gets you arrested, I imagine lighting a fire gets you life in prison.

    Yes ish for antitron 5.

Pva and petrol :) and a drop of flour! Burns for hours and makes a good paste :) Requires smothering to be put out also! Water wont put this bitch out :P

Or polystyrene dissolved in petrol, makes a lot of acrid black smoke, makes more of a gel, and also burns the same way, for ever without being put out by water :P Water actually makes them both worse :)

say it in english doc. I dont know chemistry, is pva and petrol the actual name, or is just another name for mentos and diet coke?

    Polyester resin.

Or methylated spirits if you want somehting more viscous.

where would you buy or make that? Can you give a bit more detail?

  11. Hey I am looking for a flammable paste or liquid with the following properties...

burns for a long time (30 seconds or more)

Burns hot (temperature over 150 celsius)

Not much smoke. (produces as little smoke as possible)

    not explosive

    comes in large quantities

I am sure their is a lot of pastes that do this, paint does this but it dries up fast and is not flammable once it dries. Does anyone know what I am looking for? Paper has this exact property, is their a form of liquid paper that stays liquid for a while?

  12. You should have name cards, I can't tell who is who. Anyways I liked the guy on the brown inspired. Stylin. The extra 180s at the end of everything were cool. Both were really good though. When he 180ed that huge stair flight was that a bump jump? Its hard to make a video with that long and still not have filler clips. good job. Editing was good too. Its better to have everything as stickers than computer titles. Computer effects are just cheesy.

  13. Good rider no doubt, but I found the video pretty boring really. Why would you put a backflip in and then the rest of the clip is him hopping around like a beginner just to do a crankflip! Especially when you can do stuff like at 3:31  and double whipdrops.

I think its more of a fun video. Their was like 10 clips of him doing a backflip off a quarter. I think the second rider was a lot better.

  14. nobody answered my question! Where do I get coloured magura hose if they exist? yeah I forgot those frames have super thin tubing. If you really want to see I will upload a video of me hammering the crap out of a frame and barely denting it. The diameter of the tube makes a huge difference too, for example even if its 2.0 thick something like a seatstay or chainstay basically can't dent because the smaller the tubing the stronger it will be (from getting squashed)

  15. OMG, what are the chances?!

that downtube protector is such a joke. I have some broken old frames that I like to test stuff on, to dent a 2.0mm tube with a hammer you literally have to hit it with all your possible strength. You could not even chip the paint hitting it that hard without the protector on. Well the protector might work but I mean the test they show is garbage. I was buying a new frame and my old one had a stripped bb so I took a hammer to it and tried to break the toptube but I couldn't. I only put tiny dents in it. Anyways what I am saying is its a bad test

  16. I think there is a way to make a hope 116mm?

    Just an idea , but,

There has got to be current 116mm drivers that fit, and say, use one of these, make your own axle?

    Grind disk rotor mount off

    Maybe?

Coloured hosing has been made and comes in 16 colours, but at £16, im ok.

could you link me to where I coudl buy some? Would be much apprecaited

  17. I think he just did... for the reasons he mentioned. And from what I've heard and seen (yet to get the balls to actually try this whole brakeless thing) he's right. Just by improving wheel placement (and of course the understanding of where the wheel is beneath you) and overall control of the bike, I don't really see how you can refute that it' will improve your control when going back to a braked bike.

did you even read what I wrote? I said if he meant it would improve control after you switch back to having brakes then I understand it, but if he meant that whilenot having brakes you are more in control then with brakes obviously that can't be right. For trials anyways. You would perpetually accelerate unless you do a 90 but in many scenerios this is impossible, for example a triple rail gap would be impossible brakeless.... well maybe not but a quad would probably be... you know what im saying

  18. I agree with sayshell. Don't crash your bike, just make everything.

you do realize that if your stem doesn't turn it still won't break when you drop your bike. What puts more stress on a stem a big gap to front or dropping your bike.... If your stem would break from dropping your bike then it would also break from leaning forward... so you should actually not lean forward when you ride with my stem system because it will also break if you do that. The only part that can prevent damage by moving is brake levers, because by sliding out of position the bar takes the impact for it. It really annoys me, every time I do a spin my stem shifts a tiny bit unless I do the pinch bolts up really tight which is what I do do, but thats annoying because the stem still "creeps" very slowly so like every 5 days I need to set it straight again, and I hate riding with allen keys. I just don't like the idea of anything on a bike staying in place only by friction because friction is sketchy. Unless its low torque like brake levers.

  19. Your bike control improves because you're not relying on your brakes to help you out all the time. Your wheel placement and line choices improve because you have to think more about where your bike is than if you had brakes on. Not having brakes means at spots you tend to find other things to ride than just taps, gaps, sidehops and 'normal' moves. You look at spots that you previously wouldn't have done. It helps keep your speed up for hooks (hence Ali being able to do the last hook to 90 in the vid which he couldn't do on his 'proper' bike, although there were other factors at play there too) by making you not kill your momentum by using your brakes in them. It also helps your balance out loads too. It's really, really good! It's also a metric shit-tonne of fun.

sorry but you can't possibly say bike control improves lol at least for trials riding. I think I get what you are saying, when your brakeless you learn things that you normally would not learn so that if you put brakes back on again you would have developed new control techniques. By no means do you have to ride all tgs with brakes though you can just change your mentality instead of changing your bike. The only actual difference is the having 1 extra finger on the bar, and 500 grams of weight. I don't know brakeless seems the same as chainless to me. For trials anyways. If brakeless is more fun though then do it.
