  1. cool, good on him, i try to ride smooth as possible
  2. i don't ever get any bother with anyone trying to nick my bike, i'm 6'3" and 17 stone. but the downside is that i break bikes, and will never be as good as all you skinny gits!
  3. if it's realy cheap you could get it tig welded and try it.
  4. did you put the piston back in the right way round, are the rings the right way up? did you check the jets (idle and main), has the woodruf key in the flywheel sheared?
  5. thanks for the input guys, i think i'll spray the frame to tidy it up a bit, then build up from there. i'm going to sell the leftovers, will i get zapped for asking for help with the priceing, what with being a new member and the no forsale posts in this section. i don't want it to look like a covert forsale post!
  6. 06 typhoon frame echo forks echo isis cranks wth screw on chainring and bash dmr v8's magura on rear deore disk up front hope f hub with tryall rim gu rear hub with tryall rim echo bars and stem can have it for £350, it has been used a bit, but not battered like. also i have a t pro t pro frame middleburns echo forks profile rear hub hope front onza rims rear magura front hope disk v12's echo bars and stem whats she worth? and also if you can be bothered, if you were to build one bike out of these two what would you use? (they both need a bl00dy good service anyway)
  7. right, had a look at the bike, all looks good with the frame, heres the spec: 06 typhoon frame echo forks echo isis cranks wth screw on chainring and bash dmr v8's magura on rear deore disk up front hope f hub with tryall rim gu rear hub with tryall rim echo bars and stem can have it for £350, it has been used a bit, but not battered like.
  8. thanks guys, i'l give it a real good look over.
  9. going to look at a second hand gu typhoon today, anything i should look out for? i'm talking cracks, dents, stressed areas.
  10. i've had a few sets of older maguras, and the best by far wer the old 10th anniversery ones, they were awsome, they came with cnc levers and braded hoses. the only thing was that someone had pinched the cnc boosters out of the box. i'm not bad at setting maguras up, but i have had v brakes just as good, and canti's too. i find hydrolic brakes a bit on/off, i like the feel you get with cables.
  11. if your in bridgend wales, i've got an onza tpro you can try out. let me know and i'll fetch it up for you to try.
  12. so just general build quality then? i noticed they have 20th aniversery models out at the mo, i had 10th aniversary ones when they came out, god i'm old
  13. yeah but why?, a raidial master cylinder should give more power, i just can't see the problem with them.
  14. i get the impression that people don't like them, whats the story?
  15. sounds like the kickstart might be worn
