  1. where the f**k is the old weight training thread???????? still training, bench gone up i can bench 100kg for 6 reps with a spot. i can get 4 clean reps out myself. umm latpull down gone up by miles, used to do 77-87, went on a 3 week holiday, trained everyday with a good mate came back and im on 107kg for 8 clean reps, 4 sets. still not squating i f**king hate squats gav
  2. who gives a f**k what other people do. dont tell people what to do, its their life, live it how you want. drugs are part of growing up, well marijuana is. people who went to school and grew up without trying it once havent lived. dont care what you say, its fun whilst your young and dont give a f**k, when your older got pills to pay, car, and all the daily stuff and your spendin money on drugs your a twat! never tried anything other than weed and never will. and sometimes its not even the peoples choice, you get stuck with the wrong people and before you know it your taking it on a daily basis. people who are young and still in school and havent tried weed, go out, buy some get a group of mates, a cd player, loads of drink and food and go in a field and smoke like you havent smoked before. if you dont enjoy it then you are one boring f**k! take drugs, just dont over do it!
  3. benched 100kg for 6 reps with a spotter, little help on the last rep. quite pleased. **PEOPLE TAKING PROTEIN*** go get your tests done for Uric Acid levels in your blood. i got mine done this week, it should be between 2 and 3 and mine were 6.6.... maximum you can have is 7. doctor said im lucky i havent got gout yet!!! no more protein shakes for me, she told me it destroyed my liver, and if i continue i will get gout very very very soon! be careful, im one of the people who thought protein was natural and all that crap! its not, it f**ks your insides up and kills your liver, i cant stress how bad this protein is. eat well and stop taking supplements. and get your blood tests done for uric acid. and look up "Gout" and see if you fancy risking getting it because of some f***ing stupid protein shake. please get your tests done if you take it regularly. might be the best thing you done all your life. thats my story for this week.
  4. its all about getting used to it. to people that squat once a week 3 times a week wll sound mad and the other way around. 2 months of squatting 3 times a week, and your body will be used to it. IT will hurt and be so shit for the month and a bit but you get into a habit. i personally dont see it, i f**king hate squats, hate working legs and havent done legs in the gym for about 2 good months?! maybe a little longer. if you want to be a phsyco then squat 3 times a week, you'll get nothing but respect from me because i cant even bring myself to do it once a week, nt even once a month. and when i do come around and do legs.... dear lord, it takes me a good week and a half two weeks to recover fully. hate legs! ps. to the post above, i always make sure i train when muscle is fully recovered. if it comes to the day where i have to do bis like you said and im still a little sore, ill do shoulders (which never get sore for me). yeh its down to what you like, was just saying my oppinion on things
  5. In my oppinion, i would never work chest and tris or back and bis together. Chest takes alot out of your triceps so by the time you'll be done with chest your triceps will be 50% gone. Same if you twist it around and do triceps first, it will affect your chest workout in a big way. Back takes alot out of biceps, pulldowns, pullups, rows and stuff like that involve biceps quite abit. I always work chest and biceps and back and triceps, always get a good 100% workout and they always feel "fresh" and strong before the workout. Its up to you though, if it works for you do it, but try it my way aswell, might find it better. Try to do 5 sets instead of 3, will work wonders if your used to always doing 3 sets. Reps sound about right, on legs id keep reps between 14 - 18 never lower. Works so well, and they need a little extra because they are so adapted to exercise. Same with calves, if your gona do them 20 reps and above. I can never get my calves to grow, hate that muscle, soooooo bloody stubborn! Otherwise, just go in the gym do what you feel like doing, change around and keep your muscles "suprised". Dont keep the same exercise, same time, same order or your body will get used to it and stop growing. SHOCK YOUR MUSCLES! is the best thing you can do. Eat like a f**king tank too and you'll get where you want with a bit of hard work and dedication.
  6. fly 1 rep max?! list your 1 rep max for squat, deadlift and bench... others are pretty unimportant. squats, benchpresses and deadlifts are proven to build you like a f**king tank, forget the isolation stuff, maybe just do a couple exercises but make sure you focus on the building blocks of mass.
  7. all you need to build big shoulders is, press to front or behind neck, lateral raises two arm and individual, and bent over raises or cables. dont go over the top with shitty isolation exercises, u dont need them especially as you still at the start line... work hard, results will follow
  8. killer sesh today! chest was excellent, went for 30kg dumbbells on flat, 6 sets very strict form, slow 8 reps per set, 16kg flat dumbbell flys 5 sets of 12 reps, cable flyes 14 12 10 10 10 reps, incline press and incline flys. super pumped by the end! biceps got hammered too, done incline dumbbell curls with 20kg dumbbells for the first time. found it suprisingly easy, ez curls after 12.5kg on each side on a full size olympic bar, finished with dumbbell preacher curls, awesome pump! shoulders and traps tommorow, cannot wait! will try and go for 20kg plates on barbell press to front.

    to be honest people saying bdays and names on forearms look shit, its all down to personal preferance. i for one hate colour tats, love black and grey work. and love the look of roman numerals on the inside forearm. got this done a while ago, pics are from the night i got it done.

  12. its addictive like everything else, you get a tattoo you want another you have a fag today you'll have 20 tomorrow. its all a mental thing and its never enough and its a goal! its great, and everyone who gets serious about lifting, will always want to be bigger. iron love baby! ive never met anybody who said he trained to get girls. confidence wise, maybe but addiction and mental attitude is the main reason why people train to get bigger.
  13. zoo you've been training for 3-4 months and your thinking about steroids already?! your 17 mate, read into it, learn the facts and if you still want a normal life dont use if your under 21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and also train for a good 2-3 years(in your case 4years!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and when you've peaked or find yourself not happy with the progress then begin o consider alternatives. i suggest you do your homework about using, and learn what you need to learn before diving into anything like a complete idiot, it will ruin your life!

  15. its not all about weight, form is probably the most important thing. even if you use 150kg and bench it half way down, you wont get nowhere and you'll get laughed out of the gym! the better the form, the better the muscle contraction, the more muscle will grow. dont be a twat and load the plate with 25kg plates and bench it 5 inches down the hook it back on the rack... dont really agree with all this i can bench this i can bench that attitude unless your a powerlifter!!!! if your after building muscle, f**k the ego, lift as much as you can and keep a good form and you'll see results faster than the people pushing alot with shit form. makes sense unless your a powerlifter
