Amazing vid! Brilliant riding and excellent editing.
  3. http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/news/...20trials%20gold Haven't seen this before. Sorry if it's a repost. At 1min18 Benito makes a mistake! hahahaha Probably the only mistake he made in 2009!

    Morgan Limey 3

hahahahaha you're dealin' with tight bastards here! Bit short of cash after last years effort, so for now we just used the BB from Morg's Kamel and put a 3mm-ish (from an old BB) spacer between the crank arm and free wheel. Works fine.

    Morgan Limey 3

Morg's thoughts on the new bike after a few hard traininig sessions. "I've spent a month on the Limey now and for me, it's so close to perfect. It is very easy to control and easy to be precise on the rear wheel. The bike is also very easy to ride tech on, as the balance and stability is really dialled. The clearance of the bb is very good, as I can run a koxx bashguard, rather than the bulkier monty eagle claw. However, I've found probably the largest advantage is that you can perform continuous rear wheel moves without as much fatigue and loss of power. Overall, an excellent bike!"

Hey Lewis, you heading down to Adelaide?

    Morgan Limey 3

Bit of a vid of Morg riding his new Limey. Oz nationals this weekend in Adelaide, and the silly bugger came down with the flu pretty bad Saturday night. Probably riding the best he ever has so I hope he can get a little better before Saturday. Cam http://www.vimeo.com/8661667
  8. Morg just got his new gold Onza forks, 365mm and 42.5 degree sweep, and we slapped them in. He's been riding around with the forks from J9's spare XTP up till now. The onza forks are 10mm longer from centre of axle to the bottom of the lower steering bearing. It changed the centre of balance on rear just slightly. Initially he found he was falling forwards a little on set up but didn't notice it after about 30min of warm up. He said it felt very similar to front gap and steering was still good. Not a huge change over all. He's having a proper training session this arvo so I'll pass on his thoughts.
  9. We used the std Monty job from Morg's Kamel - 124mm. Works fine with the spacer between the freewheel and crank. Bugger all chain slap now.
  10. Nice Josh. What 20in frame did you have before this one, and how does the new one ride?
  11. Nice build! Looks excellent. Interesting how much conversation has gone on and on and on about the colour in the other thread! I'm amazed at how little interest there is in how the bike actually rides? We spaced the freewheel over with a left over bb spacer (3mm ish). Worked perfectly and stopped the chain slap. Morg is improving every time he rides the bike. Really is amazing how much better he is getting just from the frame change. He had a ride in the wet the other day and was pulling off moves there is no way he would get on the Monty. I think this geo just suits him better. He's getting more grip and more height. I reckon it's the best choice we have made - bike wise - in ages. Give us some feed back on how you think it rides. Thanks Joe for an excellent frame

    Ride One ...

    mistake...not sure how to delete?
  13. Morg is really starting to get used to the bike now and I asked him for a review of the bike I watched him ride today and there is quite a big difference in his riding. I know he had some issue in the beginning because it's pretty twitchy on rear but he was used to the Kamel. Today everything seemed to click and he had no problem lining up on dodgy platforms. Looks good all round!
  14. Yeah don't worry the red tape isn't permanent, just didn't have another. Just put up a quick vid of Morg trying out his new ONZA Limey 3 frame. He injured his leg and hasn't been able to have a good go on it so he strapped it up and had a short ride tonight. Lewis G and J9 dropped by for a play on the pallets. By the end of the night Morg was doing all the moves he normally does on the Kamel so first impressions are excellent. Ballance point on rear was a bit different for him and took a little while to get used to. Lewis has a go on the 20 and was suprisingly soft for a big guy. Bit of Lewis and a bit of J9 in the vid as well. A few friends dropped by so we sat for a couple of hours and watched the 3 of them ride. Excellent evening! http://www.vimeo.com/8052602
  15. No holes Mick, just two brake clips. When we fit the newer Hopes we'll run the rear line on the inside of the seat stay.
  16. Couple more pics showing the newly fitted parts. The rear rim is a single wall job that Rick KK left with us after the worlds. Morg wouldn't mind trying HS33's at some stage so it suits for the moment and it's 30g lighter than the Monty rim as well. Gives a better idea of what it will look like with black rims. Left the pics a little larger so you can see a little more of the detail.
  17. hahahahah gold! It's got the geo closest to what Morg wanted to try next. Short stays, a high BB and still have a bit over 1000 length. It's been the first bike we've built up, so we're learning heaps about the affects of various components. It's something we really wanted to do, so that we understand what we can change to make bikes suit him better. Actually it's the first trials bike he's had that isn't a Monty (5 so far)!
  18. Agreed. Tonight we fit black rage bars with a silver stem, laced a black TrialsTech rim in the rear and it already looks heaps better. We have black hopes to be fitted up as well so it should turn out OK.
  19. After breaking both his kamels in the last month, Morg's new beasty is the Onza Limey3 (20"). From what we're told its the 1st production model in OZ ....and the world? He just got the frame, so we've built it up quickly with parts from J9'S spare (old) XTP and his buggered Kamels. A temp measure just to try the bike out and get a feel for bar height and fork length etc. After a brief ride Morg liked the bar/stem arrangement so he picked up some new Rage bars and 30 deg stem today. We fit up a Tryall bash plate but will have to come up with a rubber packer to go between the frame and plate. Will end up with Hopes front and rear and new (lighter/wider) rims. He wants to try some 165 cranks as well. First impression was it felt quite flickable and very different feeling in the front to the Monty, but really comfortable on rear. Next couple of days sorting it will be interesting. We'll make a vid and I'll pass on his thoughts. Parts: Frame - Limey3 Front Brake - Magura Louise 160mm Front Rim - Kamel 20" Front Hub - Kamel Spokes - Monty Handlebars - Try All Rage Bars Stem - Try All 150mm Forks - Try All 355mm Headset - Onza Mongo Freewheel - Monty BB - Monty Crankarms - Monty 158mm Pedals - Monty Back Brake - Hope Monotrial 160mm Back Rim - 07" Monty 221ti 20" Back Hub - Onza Geo: WB - 1010 CS - 350mm BB - +70mm Approx Weight - 8.7kg A big thank's to Tim from Expressive Bikes for helping us out! http://www.expressivebikes.com/
  20. Excellent vid and riding! We met Rafael and his dad in Oz. Really nice people and Rafael is a strong young rider. Big future.
  21. No worries bud, thanks for the reply. Hey .. good luck with the comps.
  22. Never said you were bad Mike... I said "not bad" ...just not that great that you could make crappy comments like you did about how other people ride. If you don't want to dab when you ride thats fine. Do you ride in comps? If you do then you would understand there is a big difference between having a go at everything when free riding, and knowing there is a high chance you won't make it so you take a dab to reduce points lost. Tactical moves that all competitors commit to at some time or another.
  23. http://www.vimeo.com/7038454 Bit of a shorter vid. Plenty of that Andrei Burton bloke .... he's not a bad rider eh!
  24. We spent a week with him here in Brisbane before the world champs, and he's a top guy! Lots of laughs and loves his riding.... so much power, it's incredible. It was a shame for him in the finals at Rotorua. He made a few errors on the first lap but didn't let it get him down. The start of the second lap he was clean until the end of the first section when the bank collapsed on him. The rest of the sections he cleaned which was unbelievable! Only Benito did a clean lap. Rick was so determined and consistent, amazing strength in the mind and body. Hopefully next year shoud be really good for him.
  25. Sebastian Hoffmann would be the person to contact for more info. Spoke to him in NZ and he was a cool guy. Team Hoffmann Team Trial Hoffmann
