Causitic soda is the kiddy!
Make sure you wear gloves etc though because this stuff is evil.
Oh and do it outside because the fumes are deadly too
I used this method to strip my green external bb back to silver and it worked a treat!
It will even leave the etched logo behind so it still looks pretty cool.
I got mine from B&Q in a little tub, the crystal version, I think it's sold as drain unblocker.

Do you use a thick rim tape?
I found that my rim tape was too wide and my tyre didnt sit down in the rim properly causing it to ride up the wall when pumping it up.
I had to cut my rim tape down a couple of mm then it was fine!
Just a thought

I'd say go for a Pro II on the rear, single speed, 18:15.
Me too, my Simtra is ace with a pro2, no probs yet!

It's the pads! They dont quite fill the reccess of the piston. allowing them to move back and forth.
My Koxx browns are exactly the same, you get used to it after a while!
Got them from trialsman shop on ebay.

When i did mine i used a drill and an angle grinder. I know its a bit over the top but i just took my time. Cutting out the headtube doesnt really make any difference strength wise to the frame as all the pressure is via the heaset cups. To be honest it doesn't save that much weight but if done right can look really trick.
Rob dont comment about my technique lol!!!!
I'm saying nothing mate.

As above really

I NEED £1200 by easter for my Bothers car I said I would buy, I should have had the money, but as I needed to do things to the car I have about £100 saved so far!!!
Just been thinking of getting a loan of £2000 to get the car, and a bit extra to spend on makin it my own. Just wondered whos the best company to go with. Will I be able to get one, I work in a garage, earing £80 a week, also work in halfords 2 days a week, brings home about £300 a month. I could pay out somthing like £150 a month.
Done a quick one
More Details
16.90 %APR Typical
Loan amount: £2,000
Total remayments £2,371
Payment period:24
Payment monthly: £99
Dont seem too bad, I was expecting more like paying back £2500. Also my mum works for a loan comapny (provident) would she be able to give me a loan? as im family? She know I will and can pay it. but its the fact id rather not her know I have debt.
Any help would be good!
.
You're bank is your best as they know what you can afford, they know all your figures, and will probably be the only people that will dish you out a loan in the current climate.
If they wont give you one I doubt any other company would take a punt on you.
Removing Anodising.

You can use a THICK plastictray or something but dont use too much in your water soloution because it gets pretty hot.
I left a middle burnn bash in a thick acrylic type tub for around an hour in my garage and it melted/deformed the tub and was pissing out everywhere
The bash was ruined.. it looked as though it was made of stone!
Bust keep an eye on it and use a paint bruch or something the aggitate the anodising to make the proccess quicker!
Beware It's serious stuff!.....
Make sure you store it somewhere dry too!
