  1. broke my wrist about a year ago took them 3 months to find the break then was in cast for 3 months, then they said i needed an operation ha ha 6 months later it happened nearly 1 year off my beloved bike, that was about 3 months ago i got a 6inch scar down my wrist i look like a self harmer and my hip got a little bit of bone cut off to add to drama was quite a rare break. countless scars off my pedals but hey thats trials for you. got a scar on my left for arm off my handle bars snapping and my forks snapped in the top tube on a drop gap sending me face first into ground putting a hole straight through my face. But expect my first vid soon hopefully ha ha ste.
  2. around our way its not bad at all cops watch you its funny as your trying not to knack up and smash the walls up. get a few old people kicking off but normally they trying to have a go crazy old fools. ste
  3. alright bud i personally use a kmc 50cc motorbike chain abit over the top yes indeed but strong and heavy just to let you know its still there.
  4. Alright, I havin a proper hard time tucking at min struggling with some sides and i getting frustrated. Do you have and techniques or tips to help me tucking? thanks ste
  5. thanks for the info lads i love trying new places so if i come across anywhere tops ill post it. newcastle really good if you know where to go so if anyone fancies a trip up let me know if you fancy some company. ste
  6. 60mm bb rise for 20 and 26 bud length for 26 round 1080 i think they only came in one size the 20 inch i think is similar to zoo but don't know for sure. But they both ride amazing i got the 08 version will be splashing out on 09 for definate ste
  7. alright bud i would say mirror rims tryalls if your lucky enough to be able to get them. Green would also be cool just watch out for deng colours they never match my deng cranks and headset match my hope hubs but the deng front rim is lighter almost looks pink its a bit disapointing to be honest but wat can you do. ste
  8. how do boys and girls. I just starting to make my first vid got few alright bits and pieces nothing some riders would not struggle with. Just wondering if there any good riding near you worth coming to ride. i live in newcastle so nothing over 300miles please as i'd be sick of my life after the train. thank you very much. ste
  9. good start vid impressive for only riding couple weeks will watch out for him coming up in the scene. ste
  10. i have a mate that rides for the phase team his bike rides ok but he got alot of custom components on. try the onza new line they bringing out alot of prototypes and new bikes out seem good for starting out on. ste
  11. sorry i cant help you on this one bud i a bit of a fat lad to be honest dont think the dob frame would last a week. not heard of any snapping but best people to ask would be the tarty tech line or a bike company that deals with dob. hop this helps. ste
  12. alright bud. I not sure if this will help but i would recommend isis bb as square taper easier to round causes cranks to feel loose. trial tech cranks have had a good word said about them and not that expensive either, echo cranks are not that much but heard a few cases where there feel loose even when tight giving a little play on them. echo bash or trialtech depending if your wanting to save .1 of a pound. i am not sure if your frame is 20, 24 or 26 i presuming as your after a little seat it'll be 24 or 26. 26 tyres are usually maxis high rollers, tryall and few riders like the kenda all personal preforance. the maxis and tryall very similar but looking extra 10pound for just back tyre for tryall. tryall stem over the monty as if you see the top angle of monty stem is for the monty forks which come on an angle. If your frame geo has a high bb its recommended you use a high stem likes of you gu tp etc. from about 45bb rise plus would recommend high. i not sure about seat tube either i never rode a seat i have the gu tp 08 i love it feels really nice but sounds if you'll be popping 360's out rather than t.g.s trials (tap, gap, side you will here this term some time) i hope i helped in some way bud. ste
  13. hi bud, it sounds like the olive on the magura your after not the washer. the washer goes over the piston and locks the piston in the mount. the olive will go under the magura shroud nut and will stop cable coming out of piston, go to http://www.tartybikes.co.uk, left side of page has brake spares, try rim brake spares. hope this helps. ste
  14. how do bud. If your just starting off on trials i would recommend a 20 inch to start on as you'll find it easier to learn basics but not seeing you, you might be a well built lad and will cope on 26 inch no bother. My friend uses a phase m.a.d and its ok as he has good components on. for 300 pound you'll be able to pick up a half decent second hand bike with better components on but you will also have the down side that they might be well used components. I hope this helps you bud and hopefully see you on rides. ste
