Get a motorbike, or into trackdays, your parents will be encouraging you back out on your trials bikes! -
Get out and practice on your bike.

Parents Ever Tried To Stop You Doing Trials?
Paul_C replied to Daborn Meister's topic in Trials Chat
I was always pretty lucky, my dad likes trials so thought it was cool that I was into bikes in general. His love of fast cars has passed on to me too, which is far more expensive than bikes.. -
I must get my DMR put together.

Still don't understand.

Have you got a pic? Aren't they standard canti mounts then?

Diffrences Between 20inch And 26inch Trials Bikes
Paul_C replied to Hodgey1's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I think it's a preference thing, so see if you can ride both and see what you prefer. One may ultimately feel more 'right' for you. Although I like 20's and 26's so you may end up wanting both! I do use the my 26'' jump/street/everything else bike more than my Monty though (when it's not in pieces in my garage...). -
Out of intrest did you buy that built like that or build it yourself mate..? I ask cos my mate had one almost exactly the same that I think he traded in at Leisure Lakes.
-
No, didn't go to the worlds sadly, my mate picked them up for me. The lad in the Ibex leaflet on the left got me my Monty, they were hard to come by back in '96. It's a classic now...

Some more pics on this thread for you all http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....60&start=60 To be honest it still feels pretty light to ride, I've just been out on it. The front brake is utter crap though, I've tried to bleed it but I think it just needs a new brake and wheel. Forgot to say, thanks to the moderators/admin's for approving me as a full member

It weighs 23.3lbs (10.59kg), with that heavy Odyssey seat and clamp and DX flats, and some incredibly heavy bar bungs! Thanks for all the comments chaps I've got some more pics of old school stuff but I'll put them on the old school thread in the main forum.

Satin white would be cool.

It looks ok for it's age doesn't it?

Hello This is my 1st post here (to get permission to post elsewhere...). I'm Paul, I've got a very (very, very..) old 1996 Monty 221 X Lite mod which is well used and abused but still works and while other bikes come and go I seem to still have my Monty so it must be good. The wheels are a bit bent and the brakes don't seem what they used to be but I'll get them sorted. Currently trying to get back into trials so not as good as I used to be. I've rode jumps and stuff on my mountain bike more lately. I'm 25 soon so probably older than most of you... Paul
