  4. Hey all, got my atomz premier built up and have ridden a few comps on it. Had to get rid of my gu typhoon because it was just soo heavy, straight away im loving this bike.. really chuckable and the rear end is so much easier to chuck up on sidehops etc.. hop you like!! Dave

Everytime i see him we say were gonna have to get out and have a blast together but we havnt for a while now. And adam is still doing demos with chris as far as im aware, but i havnt seen or heard anything off him in about a year. Just cant wait till summer now! all this rain!! LOVE IT!! haha. Dave
  6. yea there strange to ride i have to admit! try a bunny hop run up on mine and its faceplant.com! huge advantages for things like front wheel hooks etc though.still seems thats all 90% of riders are doing nowdays though.. sidehops and hooks, really uci vibe to trials i think now. Wheres akkers and eddie gone!!!!? love a little streety style thrown in now and then! Dave

Changed so much since i used to ride too.. cant believe how much the bikes have changed.. not a seat or a dmr ring thing in sight!! Dave
  9. Hiya, yea i did notice a little difference to be honest at first.. balance is a little off. but i was used to it after one.. mabe two rides and i love it now. sits on the backwheel so effortlesly. and doesnt feel cramped at all. Dave

  11. Alright mate, sounds good to me.. how you geting there? Dave
  12. Hey mate.. yea im there this time! weather permitting! Whose out?? Dave
  13. Yes.. obviously mineral fluid is really though! haha, just kidding! Peace Dave
  14. Your obviously set in your ways about bleeding with water.. so well leave it at this.. Water is tried and tested.. its ok but has its problems Mineral fluid is tried and tested but had its problems, pros and cons to both, Done!! Dave
  15. Dont really have one to be honest other than someone said it cant, Anyway this is way off topic. Funny to see how opinionated people get on here though! especialy about something like oil or water in your brakes!!! Dave
  16. Haha, nice bit of sarcasm thrown in for good measure! appreciated. but.... water can be compressed like anything else. It's just that the molecular structure of water is so dense that it takes extremely high pressure and the amount that it can be compressed is relatively little. Water is an extremely simple molecule but it has extremely unique properties. It called the universal solvent because more substances will dissolve in water than anything else. There have been entire books written on the properties of water alone. And thats how bored i am! Dave
  17. Ok, serious question scientists!! how come if you fill a bottle of water to the brim, no air in it at all.. and freeze it. it will explode due to water expanding as it freezes yet magura systems dont explode "split lines etc" when they freeze?? Dave
  18. Lots of scientists on here!! lol, na your right about corrosion etc but seems funny that the majority of people with problems.. "sluggish pistons" etc are using water to bleed the system. But antifreeze if you insist on using water! is deffonatly a good idea. Dave
  19. surley a thin film of oil, (mineral fluid) will run down the side of the piston up to the seal.. to keep the piston running on lubrication. Water isnt a lubricant therefore wont offer any. I know that some people are die hard water bleeders!! but im sure if the brake system is running with no lubrication it cant be good. Dave
  20. Yesterday!! haha, is it really worth it though. no one ever has any problems with mineral fluid but lots do with water. and corrosion wont happen overnight your right. but it will happen. also the compression chareteristics of water are different to those of mineral fluid. Bottom line, Use the correct fluid and your brake will last twice as long and wont play up. use water and it will be good for a while then the brake will be ruined, its been done many times "By myself too!" Dave
  21. This is funny, lots of people bleed there maggys with water. "WHY!"?? mineral fluid is a lubricant, water is not. the feel of water is nice at first because its thinner than mineral fluid. hence the quick piston return etc. but sooner or later the pistons will go sluggish and will return slowly, the lever feel will be nasty and you will have just void your warranty. Put steel in water and see what happens, corrosion. Yet all magura fittings are steel so nice bit of corrosion from the inside out. Never good. And to top it all off water, (unless antifreeze added) freezes! And at this time of year thats not what you want! Get to halfords or alike get some mineral fluid and do the job right.. so many brake complaints on here yet so many people dont follow the simple manufacturers guidelines! there there for a reason!! £4.00 aint gonna brak the bank!! Dave
  22. Sound, thats ok ill have a crack with one tomorrow. Thanks for the reply Dave
  23. lol, yea i know, its not rubbing on the seatstays! its rubbing all over the yoke on the chainstays. in the middle and at both sides. And i know the tyre is too big, this is obvious. i just want to know before going out and buying another tyre that doesnt fit what will go on ok. Dave
  24. Its hitting both sides at on the chainstay yoke. i know they have short chainstays but its only a 2.4. was wondering what other typhoon riders were running and if anyone knew if a 2.35 maxxis would fit in. Dave
  25. Yea the wheel is dished correctly, it hits the centre of the yoke and both sides too!
