  1. why would he cut the bolt off :S surely to replace that its going to be a gearbox apart job now? Probably shouldn't let him near a car again :P

Yep not letting him do it again he I told him you'll only do somthing wrong then i get a phone call -_- now I have to fix it for him, but with out looking at it and being told what he says its only a few things like the selector in the gear box ect, then he says the gear stick is dead loose...

  2. If you think its linkage related, have 1 person in the car, and another person at the engine bay to clarify the clutch arm moves and the selector are moving. The selectors on those are just ball joints that pop on and off, so it will be pretty obvious. To be honest, if he can fit a clutch himself, surely he can figure all that out himself :S

thats what I was thinking, I told him to leave it for me to do, As i done a few, now he tells me he cut the selecter bolt off (N) so either that now and plus what you said,. i did think about that.

  3. Right my mate has put a new clutch in today in his 106 pug, He tells me it wont go into gear? The clutch is done correctley, but wont go into gear, could this means the gear sector is out somwhere? He wants me to fix it for him, But im unsure on what it could be,

    Help?

  4. Right, I'm looking into having hole new fairing kit made for my kawasaki zx6rr ninja, and would like sombody to help me so i know if it would like good or bad?

Basic stuff really, would like to change my bike from green to orange/black fairing kit and black wheels, if anybody could help I will send a photo of my bike, so I know what it can look like,

    Help me?

  5. I have the Rockman Slate 2 and it is epic, it rides really well and I love the geometry on it. I would recommend it to anyone, seems fairly strong so far to me :D

oh, not too sure on the rockmans? i keep looking at the born frames...

not sure if there anygood ?

  6. Have you considered a Neon X ray? Thats about the right geo and cheap enough to splash out on some other parts as well!?

Not really looked at them, Ive got alot of money to buy all from new, but if can get hold of a cheap one then yes.

  7. All I can say is that the GU is definitely going to be the strongest out of those. Despite not looking like the old massively CNC'd TP's, they're actually very solid.

Rockmans ride very well but they're not the strongest stuff out there. Saw my Slate break in half when it was still warm outside, didn't inspire me with confidence to try that brand again but I'm sure many people will recommend it.

The Foxx is a frame for light riders, there's a 70kg rider weight limit on it.

    Can't comment on the rest.

Yeah I know the koxx foxx frame has a limit, but was unsure of it at the moment... If I am to get a gu it would had to be the old 06-07 ones? Ive had a gu le before, I loved it untill I sold it but the BB rise wasnt my style.

  8. Hey,

First off, I've not been riding for ages now :( as frame was not that good snaped and cracked re welded too meny times, now time to let her go the koxx vinco :D, im looking for a new 26inch frame, unsure what I'm after? has to be long frame bb rise of 60+ or more,

looking on tarty now but cannot make my mind up haha :(

    frames I'm looking at:

    GU

    Onza Curve

    Koxx Foxx

    Rockman

    Born

Allso when buy new frame will need new forks stem bars brakes front wheel ect....

have been looking at echo urban forks,

So far off my old frame i have left, rear chris king wheel, BB cranks everything els i put to a side that i dont want, Looking to for front disc too!

Sorry if not said it all right :( help?

    cheers luke

  9. Try to keep it short.

Right I have moved house, and when i come on T-F on my new laptop I logg on with this user but I can only post in nmc, but when I come home to my mums where I used to live it lets me back on the hole fourm, Ive no idea how this has happend so help needed as when I logg onto my laptop I will not be able to comment back to this topic.

    Cheers luke.

  10. I started on one of those. Awsome. Watch out for the back end twisting though!

You want to get a shortish high stem, high rise bars for the streety parky stuff. Make it into a bunnyhop machine. Front and back discs maybe but personally i'd go rim brakes so no broken rotors when your throwing bike around. You might want a hardish gear ratio so you can get some speed going. Maybe run two sprockets on the back, one trials, one for speed. Err what else...You can actually run 24" can't you because the maggie mounts have a lower down bit. Never seen it done though, be interesting to see as seen as the chainstays are supershort so technically it shoudn't feel too bad. (I dunno).

Yeah its happend a few times with the back end ha ha! and yes can run it with 24inch wheels as can move the breke up or down shame i snaped the forks :(

If money is not a problem, then buy a new 24" because they are a good all round bike for street/bmxx/trials.

Im thinking about getting the 2010 Zoot, but its gonna take be along time to get the money.

Not keen on the new 24's so would rather build my old beast up.

  11. Instead of buying all new parts, why not just buy a 24" brand new and sell that frame, as it looks like its in good condition.

getting a 24" is the best thing for you, since you like bmx/street/trials sorta thing. Onza zoot is a good choice, they are really nice.

Had the frame since I first rode trials and thats going back like 5years or so! so never wanan get rid lol love it too much.

dont buy new if money isnt on your side...

you can get really good second hand bikes that are better than buying new

Money ant a problem for me.

  12. Hey All,

Right first off, I stoped riding trials as my frame snaped (again) so I went back to bmx and now been thinking to build my old school frame back up, But I want it street/trials/skate park so theres trials and bmx to do too, Ive got the onza 2002 T-rex frame gold and black.

Would like your help on parts and links from Tartybikes! so it rides nice and not gash.

Was thinking to go duel disc rather then duel maggie....

Here is a photo of my frame :).

So yeah I need everything to build the beast up.

    Cheers,

    Luke.
