I've got four shims to fit, two on the bottom then two on the top?? Or are they for different brake fittings.

Kneepads are the way forward. I use 661 Kyle Strait's. Don't know you're wearing them once you get used to them. But if you don't want kneepads, try getting some pipe lagging and putting that on your frame.

I see. I've only got standard pads at the minute, Ashima Clear Trials ones. They don't have any backing at all. To be fair my brakes are working really good but I'm gonna try some of these CNC backed ones. Since I've started Trials, I've become obsessed with brakes!

It's going to be the bolt that holds the crank on the axle which must be coming loose, the threads must have gone, you could try some loctite on the threads but on something as high-load as a crank this probably won't last for long. If you're lucky, it might just be the crank bolt thread that's stripped, you can pick them up for a couple quid from your lbs. If not, you'll need a new crank arm.

No, its the other one, next to the Civic Centre. The more modern looking one. The security at the Exi one are right on top, never seen any or had any grief from the ones at the other one.
