  1. A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Hunting Flies" He responded. "Oh. Killing any?" She asked. "Yep, 3 males, 2 Females," he replied. Intrigued, she asked. "How can you tell them apart?"He responded, "3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone."
  2. hiya. At the moment I'm running a 47mm rim with a 2.2 Specialized Enduro tyre on the rear of my Echo pure 08 & it just fits inside the frame (it's got millimetres to spare) but its going bald & its time my Echo got a new tyre. Does anyone with a 08 Echo know if a 2.5 maxxis creepy or a 2.5 try-all stiky will go in without rubbing on the frame? Thank you Eyes
  3. It's not long since I've taken up trials & when I was looking for a bike, I was advised not to buy a 2nd hand trials bike. Because trials bikes take alot of punnishment & you never know what what a 2nd hand one has been through. There's a chance the frame could be cracked.
  4. Hiya peoples. Some help please. At the moment I'm using an Avid bb5 disc brake on the front of mi Echo, but I dont trust it to lock the wheel when doing frontwheel hops. So its time for a change & I keep hearing the Hope mono trials brake is the one to buy. My ? is. Is it the muts nuts & will I be able to trust it to lock the front wheel, without nearly having to break my finger, pulling the lever so hard?
  5. Cheers ta, I've used both selectbikes & tartybikes & they are both excelent. Absolutely no problems with either of them, highly recomended! I was just looking for something diferent. Thank you for the heads up about trials-uk, that was lucky, I was away to try & buy a set of forks from them, but not now. I'l be getting a set from selectbikes now if they've got them in stock
  6. thats interesting are maggies ok with just water in them, instead of oil?
  7. Hello peoples. It's time my bike got some new parts & I've been to all the usual good sites (tarty,select,trial-uk,chainreact,trialsman) looking for good prices. Can anyone sudjest anywhere else that's worth a look please. cheers ta P.S. the move I'm trying to nail at the moment is, front hops. whats yours?
  8. Before I bought maggies for my bike I was using Promax levers & Vuelta V calipers. & I found its more important to have strong levers because I tried shimano levers on for a change & they weren't good, they made my brakes spongey. good strong levers is the secret for trustable V brakes
  9. Hiya. I'm having a problem with finding a pair of footwear that don't slip on my pedals. I use ONZA VP pedals & would like some advice on a grippy set of footwear to buy at a reasonable price please. Eyes, Aberdeen
  10. ONZA VPs are an excelent pedal, just try not let them near your shins. there guiltuy of taking skin off
  11. Thank you I've had a close look at all possible hubs & have been asking all my mates whats best & there seems to be only 1 hub that really is the muts dangly bits, Chris King. I think im going too have too start saving
  12. Help please. Im just getting into trials & im really enjoying it. My bike is an Echo & Im happy with most of the kit on it but Im having trouble with the pick-up from my hub. My hub is a 08 Hope Pro 11 (the non trials 1) & Id like faster engagement. Can anyone advise me on a hub too buy for around £100-150, that's got instant or almost instant pick-up? thank you
