Steel would work even. doesn't have to look good just something to allow compression
It would be stronger no doubt, but a lot harder to work with, right?
-
But then we'd never see your beautiful posts in all the other sections!
Since I´m not attacking anyone unlike you, I think I would still be posting where grown ups do.
-
make your own?
This, it shouldn´t be too hard with drill/file/hacksaw and piece of aluminium.
-
I think this forum needs some section where people could sort out their personal beef, so other topics would stay as shit -free as possible. It works pretty well on other forums. What do you think?
-
It´s amazing how big can you go with so minimal preload Love the old school tgs vibe.

I insulted you in a different thread, and the insult was based on your behaviour. As for me over reacting I think you'll find, if you read it back, I was also agreeing with you.
My appologies, this really is planet bizzaria sometimes though.
-
Why do I need to settle down? You really seem to be looking for an arguement today.
So at first you insult me, than I agreed with you and you overreact as was arguing with you and now I´m the one looking for an arguement? How so?
-
The fact that nobody knows was my point. Everyone's jumping to conclusions without knowing the facts.
Settle down, I wasn´t stating otherwise.
How unlike Trials-Forum.
But when you try to fight against it, you are the worst lol.

Yeah that could be done, I have done it in the past for cranks. The software assumes a lot though, and f**k modelling all the parts on our site, haha.
No units and no loading conditions = doesn't tell us much unfortunately.
No, but it could mean they are using some sort of software already If I remember right, they wanted to prove that these drilled cranks are almost identical to the old undrilled version in terms of strenght?
-
I remember FEA software was used to estimate the stresses in the system, why can't we get hold of anything like that for say, these new echo cranks and a pair of trial techs, or try alls, something that has been proven to be good?
You mean like this?

It has got nothing to do with what you ride, it´s just I´m not interested in your vids anymore as I´m not into streety kind of riding. But if you are serious, I´m very pleased and looking forward to some vids. You're my hero. Love you mwah
/end of drunk Ben
Ps will you respect me again ghost rider as I'm now tgs'er again
Well, what do I know...Also about the pedals, my friend removed his and indeed, Ghostrider88 was right, they showed a small crack at the axle!!! So thanks Ghostrider88 from us both you probably saved his leg! Some other pedals are on the way now!

Yes light weight compared to zoot steel forks and bars. Bing doesn't mean echo sl forks with extra holes drilled and stuffed with hydrogen filled johnnys.
If you could jump you bike as far as you jump to conclusions, you could be the trials evil kenevil.
Sorry, but 500+g cranks and 300+g bars aren´t lightweight by any means and weren´t even 5years ago. He obviously considers tt parts the strongest parts on the market, which I fully agree except for few parts(rims mostly), but they aren´t really lighweight, neither is onza frame or saint brakes. They are all reliable parts but light? I don´t think so.

This picture could have been of a proto version.
Maybe yes, maybe no, the fact is noone here knows how that happened, but everyone thinks it´s because those cranks aren´t good.
-
I don´t think you can say exact pressure that is fine for everyone, way too much about personal preference and riding level...If you are pinching, use more pressure till you stop getting them. Or you can do it other way round and start with very hard tire and lower the pressure to the point where it starts to feel good and bouncy without getting pinchflats.
-
And the plot thickens...
-
In one thread you've gone from saying that they've been tested and they seemed up to the job through Andrei's riding to saying they're "like a chocolate teapot" and making claims about their popularity based on no actual knowledge of their sales? Are you schizophrenic or something?
He is not the only one who contradicts himself a lot.
-
Lol get your head out of his arse, I could have come on here months ago and slated tarty about that. But I didn't.
You do it ALWAYS, every topic about tarty turns into don´t buy from them, because...
-
Way too much slow mo and music is the worst from all heaubach vids made by sergio...I was really looking forward to it
-
-
I won't bother contributing to the forum in future then...
Come on Adam, you know this is Dave, he doesn´t like tarty bikes and will do anything to discredit you

It´s about where you save that weight, it´s not a problem to be confident on light tubes or tires, what can happen? You get a pinchflat, so what...With lightweight bars, forks, cranks it´s a bit different though, when they fail, there´s big chance you will get hurt and that´s everything but confidence inspiring.

90% (could be higher, but I dont obviously see all of them) of his posts are in some form or way negative, whether it is being argumentative in a topic, or just purely telling people what is right and is wrong.
I had a lot of respect for you mostly from your TGS days, you lost me now I´m affraid. What´s bad about answering persons question? If you don´t know the answer, it´s fine, don´t answer at all. I do know and I´am polite enought to tell him. How can I said the weight? I know what the frame weights and it´s obvious what parts is he using, as somene who has been riding for some time I can estimate weight of the bike just fine unless he uses 2DH tubes in both wheels or something along those lines. Oh, and as far as I know Damons answer about the weight was:"I don´t know, but it feels light." What´s more helpful? And yes, I´m very argumentative when people state BS as a facts. Thanks.
@Cockrider88
You seem to know Damon more than he knows himself.
Swish build. Damon will be a great example for how strong JAFs are.
Welcome back Andee.

Even more so if you are paying upwards of £100 for a part. If you are spending that kind of money, a reasonable lifespan is to be expected. Freewheels aren't really a valid point, because of the amount of hammer they get, and they way they are designed and built. Sometimes cheaper parts will last longer, but usually because they are heavier and more solidly built.
As far as I remember you were one of those people saying light weight bike=confidence (A)

Frame weight is 2470g, so around 11kg I guess.
Try-all K2 top cap.
