  1. To add to this S.O.R.I stands for Sexual Offences Research Initiative...........nice. Is there something you aint telling us Nick?
  2. I wouldn't want to put a price on it, because I would be biased! By the way, PM me first when you decide how much you want for it!
  3. Spokes on both wheels, or just one?
  4. Like I said though, I like a difficult project! And it's only for messing about on. It's a slow process! And about the crank, I think its on it's way out anyway.......clicking on the left. Looks like its moving slightly, and it can only get worse! I'm a right pain!
  5. Well here we go, feel free to laugh and take the .......... all you want!!!! I don't care! So there it is in all its glory! I did warn you! 6. My laptop didn't meet the minimum specs for NFS undercover, but i still played it, and it ran fine on the lower settings? Guidelines aren't the be all and end all.
  7. I do believe the waters have become slightly muddied as to the original question, so here it is plain and simple: Yes, your Laptop with play the game, but you will have to reduce the settings to such an extent that you will not get the most out of the game. Therefore, in my opinion, it would be a waste of money. Thats me done! Please note that I am in no way getting at any other comments placed on this thread.
  8. What if you got both? Is that just greedy? NBA Jam on the megadrive was awesome!
  9. You will not be disappointed! I promise! I still say it's as much fun now as it was back then.
  10. @ Orgun Donor - laptop components and casings are pretty much standard throughout the range, so he could e-mail his manufacturer and ask the question. I know with my Dell they have a list of specific upgrades that I can add to my laptop. The case may already have the required fans etc to add a graphics card? correct me if I'm wrong please? Also, I stand by my opinion that Goldeneye rocked! Still got my N64 somewhere, and it's always good fun!
  11. Sorry dude, didn't notice the sizes! http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/...D_Pro_Bike_2009 You need to have a gander round the site, they have one of the most comprehensive ranges I know of, and as you have seen, they still have the older bikes in, which can be a lot cheaper. The Duster I sent you the first link for....this years model is £1199, so your saving naerly 30% buying the 2007 model. Link above.....I personally really like! As for frame size, it depends on how much the seat would have to be lifted, and how you prefer to ride. My friend always bought the next size down frame: I think it was so he was farther away from the frame! But he used to have his seat quite low for XC. You really need to sit on a few.
  12. I have to agree with Krisboats on some points. Goldeneye was a breakthrough in multiplayer gaming, giving more depth and adaptability than any other game at that time. This is why it was so popular. Going back and playing it now is fine for reminiscing and for a laugh, but it has been superceded and expanded upon by almost every other multiplayer game out there. As for Call of Duty, I wouoldn't even try. I got NFS Undercover for my laptop, with the recommended Vista benchmark set at 5.3. The minimum benchmark was 4.3, and mine was only 4.0 My laptop has a 256mb card in, but only a 3450, so after turning basically all the graphics settings off, and changing the res to 800x600, I could play it. It looked pretty dreadful to be honest, and every time AVG ran its scheduled scan at 12, the game died! I'd spend your bit of cash on a graphics card if you really want to play the game, because reducing the graphics down takes away the wow factor. You will sit there playing it wondering what it would be like, and pick faults with the graphics all day. Saying that, this is just my opinion which I thought I would share with you. Good luck!
  13. At this moment in time I have no means of getting the pics on the comp, as I'm not at home. Will post some pics later on today, but be warned! It's a tank!
  14. http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/...er_Hi_Bike_2007 Two year old spec (but really good), looks awesome and would also leave you some change to tweak and add accessories.......like a decent pair of gloves!
  15. Cheers for the link!!!! According to that I'm halfway there already......riser bars, flat pedals, rigid forks and mags. Have lowered the seat as much as I can, but as a commute I do need to sit down without it being too uncomfortable.........I'm 6'1"!!!!! I need to sort out my crank, as it's still the original 24 speed, so was thinking of single cog at the front? I don't really use the other two anyway. I also need to remove some links out of my chain, because it is slacker than the preverbial! Oh, and a beefy tyre for the rear, was thinking a 2.35? Cheers Nickkkkk
  16. Well I can safely say I am not a twelve year old with a £1k bike, and I have got quite a few years on people who are 16+!! My issue is thus: My bike has a dirt/jump frame, 26", but I also use it for commuting......what are the easiest things to do to half convert to trials for messing about on, but keeping the sensibility and practicality? Any answers much appreciated!
  17. Simpson, did you like my deliberately bad spelling? (ok, so maybe it wasn't deliberate!) Was the whole "need encouragment and help from the older" you having a dig? I'm not exactly a spring chicken myself! And I have had a nosey and a search, think I'm gonna be asking advice very soon, when I have got at least SOME money available........till then I'm riding a tank, looking like a bit of a muppet!
  18. Thanks a bunch Sampson, didn't realise it happened that quickly! Been nosing through the members threads, but because I am kinda new to all this, I'm afraid I don't have any input! For the most part, I haven't got a clue about 20"ers, my bikes a tank, and I literally am a beginner to trial/street. I've done dirt on a BMX before, but it was a long time ago!
  19. Is that what it's generally known as? the "Pink Freak"??? Mine is commonly know as the "Shed"!!!!! The Yaabaa you're looking at has nice tyres alredy on......if I had my way I'd buy a well specced bike straight out, but I never have that much money, and i ain't the best at saving! This is why I have to do things one step at a time...... I feel we must also apologise for taking over this thread with a two-way conversation.......others welcome!!!!
  20. I'm always messing around, sometimes I think too much for my own good! I need some fat tyres first, cos it's only got 1.95's on it at the moment, and it looks seriously ropey! You've got me thinking about picking up a second hand BMX now, just to relive the "glory days" !!!!! What have you done????
  21. Yeah, BMX frames can be heavy. I remember my GT was a Performer and that thing weighed a ton! I guess it depends on whether you like meddling with bikes. Glow in the Dark paint seems like an awesome idea though....... you got me thinking now!!!! The list of things for me is endless: Grips Tyres Crank Rear mech Guard Forks (maybe) Stem Paintjob Seat And by the time I have done all that, I'll probably want to replace more! By the time I become quite competent at trials, the fram will need replacing, because it's just a generic multibrand dirt frame, so I don't think it will stand the test of time. Fingers crossed it holds on!!!
  22. Yeah, only 26"s use hangers, because your 20 and 24's are single speed, and so don't have a mech to speak of. At the moment mine still has the original gears on, but think i'm gonna lose the front crank and convert to a single cog. Need to keep the rear due to commuting! Need to get a guard as well because it's ripping my jeans to shreds! Mines a project bike, mainly because I like getting my hands dirty and "tinkering". This is the main reason why I don't know which way to go, had a couple of BMX's in my time, had a GT, Robinson and many others! There is a lot I need to do to my current bike, but the basics are in place! Ha ha. The Yabba looks nice, like the paint job. My frame is all black at the moment, was thinking of a blue/yellow two tone paint job? Like the old Pilot Escort rally cars. I'll post pics of my shed when I take some proper ones!
  23. The comp parts were old! Four towers, complete systems, but most recent was an athlon 64 X2 4200. None of the systems were working, so to me only scrap value. He did get a 19" TFT though. I've never tried a 20" for trials, used to ride a BMX for dirt etc, but that was a long time ago. Guess I'm used to riding a 26", but my problem is the bike also doubles as a commute, so a seat is quite handy, even if it is low! So what do you ride at the minute? It has to be said that I am torn between starting trials or going dirt, which is why I joined this site. Gives me a better idea of the community, cost, and all things trials.
  24. No problem Sirius, I am a newbie myself, having just swapped a friend his bike for some old computer parts! I'm learning just like you are, hence why I couldn't advise on which setup you should get. I'm on a 26" at the mo!
