It's pretty hard to say without having actually seen what's wrong with it...
I know, trying to find my camera at the moment so I can upload some photo's.
-
I'll get pics when I can find my camera and instead of getting a new chain would it make more sence to get an onza hub
-
This is great news, onza have really excelled them self these past few years. Will be cool to see Craig on an onza, never really thought that he would ever ride an onza over a ZOO! but obviously I was wrong and cant blame him for it either. I love the way my limey rides. Well done onza/craig. Great combination.

I think most chains will rub on new frames, by this i mean the paint. As long as its only the paint youll be ok.
thanks but I might try it with a thinner chain as this is my second collapse. although it is a great chain its taken a tooth of my old 12t sproket.

Hey every one does any one have any vids of people on their old school bikes? thanks
that just goes to show how much our sport has changed

can someone help me solve this.

hey guys,
mr vokes and i have been spending some of our nights over the last few weeks driving around trying to find new places to ride, but its proving to be quite difficult.. . .
.. . .so im asking for anyone to list any decent spots they know of within the hampshire/dorset area, and just kinda outline what there is to ride there.
this is what we know of so far:
Southampton - spar train station, guild hall, asda, jjb, ruins, ocean village
Bournemouth - high street
Pool - sea front area
Portsmouth - high street, southsea
Milford on sea - rocks
Barton on sea - more rocks
Portland - mega rocks (bit of a trek though)
Eastleigh - train station
Verwood - forest, shopping centre
Hythe - marina, esso woods
Leap - beach, rocks
Lymington - Marina
Are a few others but cant remember them right now.
So yeah, list away!!!! also add in if its lit for night riding or undercover for rainy days
cheers
ben
it may be abit of a trek but its a great place to ride, some spots are found only by local knowledge, as theres one which you go down to this tiny beach on the grove side of the island which is okish, heres a list of decent spots there;
flatstones
chiswell
the bill
back road to the bill (head down from the gore and you will see a gate with a stone path, follow it)
the liberary in easton
great spot at westcliff
bowers quarry
the quarry by reforne road
st georges primary school
trials place.
if you need anymore just ask I lived there when I first got into trials, great place to ride and is worth the trek down there. if need be you could ask the local riders where to go.

we can't help you if we dont know why its rubbing, what parts making the chain rub? also where abouts is the chain rubbing?
I can tell you what im running in that area, kmc collapse on 13t echo splined sproket on gu fixed rear hub. its rubbing on the chainstay just above where the weld is
as im running a kmc collapse and thats a fairly wide chain, would getting a smaller chain be worth while.
-
it arrived today so built it up and it rides loverly but one problem, my chain is rubbing against the frame, it is now grooved .
just got it and this problem arises and im skint till xmas as I'm paying my parents back. so is there anything I could do to sort this without spending to much, idealy about £15 and also I dont need to buy it online dont mind through here, where I can send the money by post.
-
hey buddy ermm wat is it you payed for ? brake hose ??
yeah braided magura one and sorry for not replying
-
its very bad he need too sort it all out for his buyers no concideration for them
would help if he replied
-
so glad i found this topic! a friend of mine bought some cnc'd backings of hime and they never arrived this was about 3 weeks ago? whats is he playing at. get them sent!!
yeah sounds bout right 3 weeks ago for me aswell
-
Exactly, people under 18 seem to have alot less respect for deals made and in my personal opinion is they treat their stuff like shit because they've not earnt their money
I dont agree with that 100%. I'm 15 and I pay for every part I buy apart from at the moment where I've asked my dad to sub me the money for a new frame but I have started to pay him back already as I got paid yesterday
not sure dont think that it is still got outstanding customers wanting their itemsno its still on going, going to ring him tomorrow and see whats going on.
-
ross has jacks old one and thats cracked on the dropout/tensioner
Yeah seen the video's, ross rides it really well. Shame he's gone back to the adamant and joe to make you happy I'm sticking with onza now forever because of this frame which has got to be my favourite bike out at the moment. Just need some trialtech parts to finish it off.
-
Hey don't make fun, I've got a 180mm on front.
same, how about a 203
also bike looks lush.
-
cant wait till tomorrow. it arrives and then I can ride again :D
-
wow mod's not doing so good, come on mod riders get voting!
I havent been riding too long but i imagine it not being very easy to learn on a 26" and a 24" is too street for me.
I learnt on a 26" but I now only ride mod as dont have the money to get another stock or 24"
-
exactly, does it matter he's the one who wants the parts. I'm waiting for money for a rim and hub but at the end of the day he's the one paying for the parts so it really doesnt need publicising. Keep it to the pair of you unless he doesn't answer you for ages. like echo_rob is doing atm.
-
Good good. Let me know how you find it.
-
Oh my god!!!!! None of these frames have broken on the dropouts! Jack Crathy has been riding one all season and the only prob he had was that he cracked the disk tab.
Enough about the drop outs, It is just a rumour based on about three broken frames out of 600 made.
Yeah, I was reading the topic about that but I've bought one of tarty today. Looking forward to getting it as I loved the one joe took up to fort bill. Just skint now till xmas. So not to many new parts until then .
Rode my 20" Limey quite a bit this year and it rides really nice, cant see the dropouts cracking to be honest.thats good :):)
-
I think the limey is the only one that fits that description it has maggie and disc mounts. Personally I'd find me a 07' TI. Probably sickest frame made.
not a huge fan of monty's, unless it was a comp only bike for me
-
Your riding it though not us?....
IMO I like it but that's me.
I know just that people are saying that the ice cracks at the dropouts. Is this the case with the limey.
-
tensile, they last forever

I will try it but if not, will a onza sealed disc hub sort it. joe what was the hub you had on the one at fort bill and what chain?
