It is hardly pointless as i ride an Onza T-vee and have been riding for 11 months and can sidehop just under bar height and i am 13 .

Yeah i would definately get yourself a stock because of your height, you will be able to controll it and when you get than hang of things you will sidehop massive. no i diddent because last time i went on tarty they did not have them thanks mate.

Basically all you have to do is get up on your back wheel and pull your handlebars up and that is a hop.
