  1. I've tried with couple 10kg's under each heal which helps but still feels bit wobbly . Would love to get it sorted without using anything .... My mate said try it like your taking a shit in the woods but nearly fell backwards trying it that way :)

This is the only thing stopping my trials improving I reckon ... Hopefully it's not my hamstrings playing up or ill be carrying bits of wood to the gym permanently

  2. Looking for some help with squats , my problem being I can't keep my bloody heals down . I've got to 140kg easy but that's literally on my tip toes and feels like I'm gonna fall over at any point . The minute I start to go down they lift off the floor . Trying to get this technique sorted so I can see what my max could be and work on it . I know I have tight hamstrings , have all my life maybe it's that that's stopping me ? Any tips ?

I'm pretty tall guy too 6'3 and over 18stone ... Can bench 185kg and dead lift 310kg . But none of that really counts for riding ... I'd say the squats are most important but if I can't keep me heals down I'm screwed and likely to have an accident if I try to push it on my toes :)

  3. Just wanted people's opinions on the freewheel and the rear screw on sprocket . Is titanium more likely to crack ? The freewheels centre is titanium and the whole of the rear sprocket too .

Anyone own either and broke them /problems ?

    Cheers

  4. Just got hold of this today along with couple other bits . Had my first ride tonight and it feels great . Not too sure what to do with the green headset , pedals and brake clamps yet . Might go black or might keep them ....opinions ? Cheers

  5. Those big chains are 3/16th and there huge . I ran the kmc k910 version . And previously the gusset tank chain 3/16th version. They are practically unbreakable and don't stretch either . I have a brand new one I bought to fit on my zoo but it doesn't fit as the tightness pulls the rim too far towards the frame so the tire rubs on the chain stay yoke . An extra link makes it too long . If your running horizontal dropouts like many frames nowadays then you'll need to check it they fit if you decide you want that peace of mind .... Oh and they weigh a ton :)

I use the 510hx and so far so good . Kmc 710 before was good too . Never snapped but stretched a good half inch over 4 months use .

You might have just landed funny on it and damaged a link for your chain to break so quick . I check mine before every ride just to make sure .

    Choice is yours dude

  6. Cheers Andy , was saying to jmcd that carbon bars are great . Very stiff with no flex at all . People shouldn't doubt them . Can see them lasting very well . Defo sort a ride soon though . Wouldn't mind trying your in door spot soon too

  7. I had the same problem . My zoo piranha came with echo press fit bb and echo alloy bolts . First time I took them out to replace the bearings they refused to go back in and started to strip the ends of the alloy bolts . The threads in the bb are fine . The bolts just seem a little soft material wise .

My fix was a lot of pressure on the bolts. You really need to push hard and straight while gently turning . They will eventually grip the good thread just past the stripped bit and go on easy after that . Have to do this every time I need to put them back in but it works . Hopefully yours will be the same

  8. Ok, so I've decided to bite the bullet and try some carbon bars ... It's either the tryall or trialtech carbons .

Would there be any difference strength wise between the two ? The trialtech are slightly lighter but the tryalls look nicer . Can't decide .

Anyone had both and compared or broke any ?

    Cheers

  9. Been running tr's for about 6 months now and although they ain't the nicest feeling bars compared to try alls ,trialtechs etc , I can't fault there strength . I'm heavy than most people at 117 kilos and they been taking some big gaps to front recently . In fact my echo urban forks snapped in 2 before the bars have :)
