    Rim Tape

I want to buy some rim tape for my Onza Blade which I'm getting soon, but have no idea which on will fit. Does this one fit the Blade rims? - http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=38 Do rim tapes last quite long? What are your experiences with them? Thanks
  2. Are you looking for a Mod or Stock bike? Because the Bird and T-pro are Mod and the Spyrogyra is Stock... As far as I know you don't get Mod's with gears, and only a few have seats.
  3. A little while back my chain on my Phase 1.2 kept skipping between gears so I cycled down to my local bike store to get it fixed. On my way, after a down hill, my chain got stuck as I pushed hard to pedal, which flung my forward of the bars head first into the pavement...

    Ouch, My Chin

    That's not so bad...
  5. Very nice riding, I love your style, how long have you been riding for?
  6. Thanks for the replies. So grips, brake pads, chain, tires, bars and stems. Wow, I was expecting more like... just some different tires or something! Are these all really necessary? Could I get away with just the standard bike for like about a year? Until I move to Europe? I'm pretty sure I can get some good grips here, and I've recently replaced the chain on my current stock bike to a KMC one so I could use that one. Which leaves brake pads, tires, bars and stems. Can TartyBikes.co.uk change the parts on the bike for me? Can you guys recommend some good parts, as I have no clue where to start. And remember I'm a beginner and it's just for about one year, so I don't need the best of the best, just to make it easier to learn.
  7. I know I've been asking a lot about the Onza bikes but I just want to be sure I'm getting the right bike. What is the difference between an Onza T-Pro and a normal Pro? Is it worth the extra bucks to get the Blade instead of the Pro? If I want to ride street, is it better to have a longer frame? Are the Onza Pro and Blade suited for street? For a beginner, are the standard Pro or Blade good to ride or are there things that should be upgraded straight away? (eg. tires, stems) The reason I'm making so sure is that I have to ship it from UK to South Africa, and here there are no Trial shops, so if there is something extra that I need for the bike I must ship it with the bike, so I don't pay double shipping. Thanks in advance for the help.
  8. Lucky, I'm still waiting till I can get my Pro. Enjoy riding!
  9. Next time make use of the other keys on your keyboard, like the Enter key and the "." and "," Also do a spellcheck, we don't want a puzzle to figure out every time you make a post. Just a few tips
  10. Hey man, I'm not very experienced with trials so im just going to comment about the one thing you said. About the seat thing. You say it must have a seat. But if you dont have a seat there is even more space between the stem and your jewels. When you do trials you are 99% of the time standing anyway, at least with me it is. Sorry I couldn't be more help Cheers
  11. Thanks a lot James and other members that responded, I think my mind is set on the Pro now, as the Blade is just over my budget. Thanks for the help people.
  12. Thanks a lot for the help. Another question. The frames of the two look pretty much the same, are they the same length? To me the Pro looks slightly longer, is this true?
  13. I have a 26" Mad Phase 1.2 with mounted Magura HS 33 hydraulic rim brakes front and back. Is it possible to put them on the 20" Pro/Bird? Will this have to be done in a shop?
  14. The Pro has disc brakes on both sides right and the Bird has disc front and rim at the back correct? Isn't the rim brakes better/stronger? Is wanting a rim brake at the back a good enough reason to go for the Bird or does the Pro have other things that are better? Thanks for the help people.
  15. Which one would be better for beginner?
  16. Yeah, thanks man. My Phase 1.2 has the magura hydraulic rim breaks. Is it possible to switch them over to the Onza Pro?

    Onza Pro

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a 20" bike and have kinda settled for the Onza Pro... http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?produc...;category_id=10 Is this a good beginners bike? I know it says so in it's description but I wanna hear it from you trial riders too. I'm not totally new to trials, I have had a 26" Mad Phase 1.2 sine about February, but the big bike just doesn't feel right. I'm still learning to get up on the back wheel. Also, my budget is about £500, but I have to ship it all the way to Cape Town in South Africa. If you guys can assist me in this, maybe recommend a different bike in the same price range. All help appreciated.
  18. I see... But fortunately I'm getting that kit, plus a new hub and chain for only £15 more than that kit. And its being done for me. Also seeing as I'm in South Africa it would cost quite a bit to transport it all the way down here. But thanks for pointing it out anyway.
  19. Something about there being a screw on sprocket and a different kind of sprocket...
  20. OK I just came back from the shop now and the guy says he will get a new chain, hub and sprocket. The chain will be a KMC chain - any good? The hub will be a Joyteck hub - any good? And he doesn't know what sprocket he can get yet.
  21. Yeah thats what I told the guy over the phone now but he said that he wont be able to get that size... I can maybe ask him to split it...
  22. I'm taking my bike (MAD Phase 1.2) in to the shop to change its 8 gear speed to a single gear, what is the ratio I need? I usually ride with it in gear 3, what ratio is that? I'm not too good with the specs and things on bikes. I have to be in the shop in 10/15 minutes so all help is welcome! EDIT: The guy was also saying something about how many teeth it must have etc.....?
  23. Wow, very nice, really enjoyed watching that, great style!
