  1. great advice! Cheers. Lazy slaves seems to be an issue, as do the plastic washers, they're very worn so replacing them seems like a good idea. I'll also hunt down some more washers.
  2. thanks guys, they are brand new Rockman green Pads (amazing performance for the brief moment they stayed in alignment) I am using standard Magura clamps, with some bought spacers and washers allowing fitment of my carbon Brisa booster. When tightening up, the pads seem to be being pushed out of alignment (so one end of the pads contact the rim before the other). Leads me to think my setup is allowing too much movement so I think I might ditch my current setup and buy some new Echo clamps with metal washers which will hopefully hold everything more firmly. However, I'm not sure this will solve the pistons pushing the pads out at an angle to the rim...? Its freshly bled but a pretty old brake.
  3. Hi guys, has anyone got an idea why my pads will not hit the rim squarely? I've tried resetting it many times but every time I pull the brake lever the pad extends at an angle and therefore have no brake force as it seemingly needs to be a perfect alignment. I've also noticed the pins holding the pads seem worn not allowing it to 'click' into place very well. I'm tempted to just spend the money and buy a whole brand new rear brake assembly to start from scratch with a perfect brake. any help much appreciated. Tom.

Without having to go out and buy new pads, does anyone know what might be wrong with my rear brake? Theres literally no grip, can ride along with the brake fully on. I've cleaned the rim and pads and still nothing. Brake: HS33 4-bolt with Carbon brake booster Rim: Onza Ronnie Grind: No Pads: Coust Any ideas? Needs bleeding? Contaminated pads/rim? Thanks.
  5. "Pedalling, braking, pedalling, braking, pedalling, braking" - Always remember Hans Rey saying this with his funny accent on an old video with the Martyn/Martins I think. In the vid he was kicking into a wheelie stance, then literally kicking then stopping and so on....though this is obviously easy for someone with so much experience and balance. Like has been said before though, its just practice practice practice, getting used to the feel of balancing on the rear wheel, but the best suggestion I can give is to try to phase out the endo stage, and gain the technique of just kicking up the front onto a balance point on the rear wheel. It'll come with time! HTH
  6. I bled mine with some Citroen brake and clutch fluid, seemed fine! though I think it needs another bleed as the brake is no longer stopping the rear wheel, I imagine this could resolve it?
  7. Hi, I'm Tom and I'm 21. I was registered on here coming up to 4 years ago! But trials riding was pushed aside in favour of moving house and then also moving away to Uni in Bristol! So havent really picked my Planet-X Tibo up in that long! Thought now would be a good time to sort the bike out and get back out there. Hoping to find even more motivation this time to keep up with the sport.
