  1. Excellent. Thanks for that. Would be good if there was a maintenance section where common issues like this could be discussed/solved and easily found if searched. Looking forward to the syringe bleed video. Cheers.
  2. Hi I am about to attempt to bleed a HS33. The user guide in the FAQ section has had the photos removed, does anyone have an up to date how to? Also would it be possible to use some semi synthetic oil or is water the best bet? Cheers.
  3. Hi, I have yet to actually start riding, but am in the final building stages (have all the bits now, some still in post?) The rear wheel on my Onza T-Mag has very little clearance between the seat stays. Is this normal? I bought the bike second hand and have never seen another so do not know if the frame is ok. The rear tyre is an onza sticky finger 20x2.5 which I think should fit ok.
  4. I wish it was just as simple as clicking on the profile and sending an email. I have been trying for weeks to buy via this method but get very few replys. It seems that the members here prefer to use pm's which as a newby we are unable to do. I have now purchased a rear Magura from this site from someone who did respond to an email, so it is not a hopeless task, however I could have been riding much earlier had I been able to contact members via a reply to the thread. I, like probably everyone else on this forum am a member of many other forums and find them an invaluble source of information, and have already gained a lot of knowledge and information from reading old posts and asking a few questions. I have not come accross the validation procedure that you have here on any other forum and as a guest do not wish to question the reasons behind it, as these are the rules and it seems to work for the members of this forum. However would it be possible to put forward as a suggestion, that new members could be allowed access to the PM messaging or for sale side of the forum, as genrally people who are hoping to take up the sport are looking to buy equipment to get started. Please don't take this as a gripe, I accept the rules as they are and am just happy to take part, but I do understand the frustrations of a new member.
  5. Thanks for the replys, very comprehensive Lucas. The frame that I have is an Onza T-Mag, the rear brake set up is a dedicated 4 bolt mount. I don't want to convert to a 2 bolt set up but I have seen for sale, brand new some Magura HS11's for £40, however these look like they have the associated fittings for a 2 bolt system.
  6. In desperate need for a back brake for my not such a bargain bike buy. Could someone tell me please the difference between HS11's and HS33's? My bike is equipped with dedicated 4 bolt mounts, if I were to buy a 2 bolt mount system would it be easy cheap to convert?
  7. Hi, Thanks for the replys. Trials bikes and accessories does seem to be quite a nich market. Although new to trials I am not new to cycling and have been road racing and doing the odd club time trial for a few years. Over that time I have found and used many shops, on line suppliers and web forums. I do not have any problems with Tartybikes and do have some stuff in the basket that I will be buying. It's always nice to have several shops to browse through because genrally you find that someone has something on a special offer or a close out deal, but also if there are more suppliers the prices tend to fall. I started this topic after having very little success searching around for tyres. 20" tyres seem to be readily available from most bike shops but the 19" rear seem to be somewhat elusive. Could lead to another topic? Are Creepy Crawlers the way to go? Or are there other better/ cheaper alternatives? Cheers, Stu.
  8. Just bought an Onza T-Mag but it needs a bit of work. Apart from Tarty bikes and this forum is there any other shops and forums for newby riders? I need new tyres, tubes, rim tapes a back brake, hopefully an Hs33 bar grips and a chain. Wow, the bike doesn't apppear to be the bargain that I thought.
  9. Hi, I'm Stu, quick apology to the mods first, Sorry for the email just found out why I can't post anywhere else. A bit slow due to my age (40 I know, I'm having a mid life crisis) Currently a road rider and do a bit of racing, training at the moment for a Lands end to John o Groats ride next year also do a little bit of mountain biking. Love watching the street trials guys and decided I should give it a go. Hopefully my kids might give it a go too. Don't have a bike yet but have been looking through the classifieds and the other topics trying to find a good buy and also to try to make sure I get the right bike for what I'm after. Still a little confused with the terminology. Would like to know if there are any riders in the Grimsby/Cleethorpes area as I suspect I will need lots of tips and bandages. Don't want to spend too much, £150 tops (be quite difficult to justify with the wife, currently own 3 racers and a mountain bike, hence the kids too angle) Thanks in advance for any help and tips. Cheers, Stu.
