  2. im 14 and went out today feeling a bit chalenging and thought i would try some bigger drops and in my village there are some about 2ft drops and then 4ft so theres not realy anything inbetwen so i decided to go for it, got my bike up and i was bricking it as the wall was about 20cm wide and 4.5ft high, had to drop off sideways wich made it even worse because i had to go back wheel first and then hop off my front wheel. did it perfect first time and then hoped off a 5ft wall normaly and that was all good aswell. got my eye on a wall thats about 5.5-6 ft high. amazing how much progress you can make in just one day walst riding on your own.

is this good for some one who has been doing trials since late january ?

  3. is that all you have to say? about my tyre psi? im comfy with them atm, like i said, they're at 20, which is hard and good enough for me...

how long you been riding ? if not that long then i would say good but if for a long time i would say bad but everytone has to start somewere. try running a harder tyre pressure then you wont have to be so smooth and you can concerntrate on what your doing more and then when you feel comftable then try be a bit smoother, harder pressures may make you smoother anyway because you have to absorb the pressure from the drop more. Try puting it up to 25 or 30, just to stop you from making a flat spot in the rim or dent (like i did, now run 40psi on a 24", perfect :D)

  4. Ebay is probably your best bet, however, you should ask around, although i'm guessing not alot as it is an 04 model after all, but good luck too you, i hope you sell it.

Thats what im worried about, if i sell it is there much point because if i wont get much then im looking to get a new frame with maggy mounts on in the future so if i wouldnt get much i would keep it and use it for that. What kind of price range are you thinking as not much ?

  5. i have a ashton effect with the old evo adapters on the back and there a pain to setup, went to water bleed my brake today and water kept leeking out of the hole where you take out the screw out to bleed it on the lever and did it up to tight and the metal and threads around it snaped so there is a chunk missing out of the lever but the calipers, hose, lever and internal are all fine. its a 04 model with a hose lengthe for the back but a right hand lever but i just fliped the lever over the other wy to put it on the left hand. how much do you think i would get for it all, hole brake with chunk from the lever, old evo adapter kit and a bodge evo adapter booster ?

  6. sorrt i dont agree with this. one youve got a bird (and it works a dream) but everyone knows birds are fairly shocking unless youve only riddine say 6 months .

also your name is onza rip and there shocking too so. change your name and your bike. sorry for snappong out on you . i get cranky when having cracked one frame and spent 1 month encounting spraying my monty frame. and i cant ride it yet

i personly think your just tryng to ge attention by saying that you snaped your frame and someone was going to ask how and you did it and you would say by doing a drop or gap that you think is amazing, want to show it off. Sorry to snap but it gets on my nerves when someone thinks there all that and a bag of chips lol

    back on subject.

i had a vee not long ago and i couldnt get on with it and i wen t to my freinds house and his brother use to bike and had a maggy on the back with the old evo adaptes so i asked him how much he wanted for it and he just said i will swap it for your brake and i wasnt going to turn that down. only had half decent pads on it and it worked prety well but there definately easyer to set up. i dont think there is nothing wrong with the evo mounts, work realy well if you ask me but now after switching to maggys, i would say go with a maggy with evo adapter with some good pads like the heatsink coust or something like that but let me say i havnt rode a bike with a real good set up v brake so im not the best person to listen to but thats my input.

  9. not up to much this sunday so is anyone up for a ride in swindon or near by ? will be my first ride so dont exspect much but i will try my hardest and i want to learn some more things aswell. send me a text (07875506622) or add me on msn and have a speek.

  10. the ashton effect is good, didnt think much of it realy but i took a gamble and got it and i love it, front brake that came on it was crap and the chain skiped alot, like all that time, you couldnt even go up a hill, but i shortened the chain and it worked a treat, some different gearing on it would be good, maybe a 14 or 15 on the back, something like that oh and the bars are a bit short but apart from that it is a great bike. would of loved a inspired but couldnt afford it but i would say if you cant afford a inspired i would go for a ashton effect because if you cant afford a inspired then you wont be able to afford a adamant, echo or czar.
