Nah dont worry ill be ok, i'm an engineer by day!!! just wanted to get an idea of other peoples experiences before i went wading in and wrecking my rims!!!! thats pretty much exactly what i'd planned on doing how you described, just wanted a few other peoples take on it first!! i've seen some drilled sidewalls too, i'm running idsks so i'm contenplating this too - anyone have any experience in this???
  2. Did you take the rim off the spokes or just take the tyre off and go through from the outside towards the hub??
  3. ah cheers guys, will save up for new ones eventually, but for now im just building a bike with what i have already and wondering if it was worth the time and effort of drilling them out!!
  4. Hey guys, i have halo combats that seriously need to go on a diet. Drilling them out myself, is this a good or a bad idea? any advice is graciously reveived!

  6. Hey guys, I'm Ryan Im new to the forum!! just building up a trials bike.... not done any trials for about 7 years! but thought it wouls be fun to get back into it! just buying bits now!! Koxx Levelboss frame, an putting the rest together from random bits lying about at home and some ebay specials!! Gone a bit overboard and bought myself some 6pots on 8" rotors!!!! we'll see how that works out when all the bits arrive!! Does anyone know anything about drilling out rims? i have some Halo Combats at home, which weigh a tonne, so am thinking of drilling them out.... any ideas if this is a good or bad idea?
