 It's not though, is it...

    Or is it?

It will be good though is the word on the street.

Please note that everything stated here is not word on the street and is not an opinion or true and is purely for fun purposes. There is no brand loyalty, but we do thank the good work that Tarty Bikes did in getting a bike up to us over a bank holiday weekend at short notice. Thanks where thanks is due.

WHAT YOU TALKIN ABOUT WILLIS. no he he has no association with Clean and pays for his bikes like everybody else, I take it that is you hiding your face in shame? He better not snap this one all season or he will need to get another job. Carbon is the future like the new £10K intense downhill bike WTF. I got a brand new van for not much more than that!!!! To be said in the Billy Connolly accent.

  5. Its a British/Scottish so 10.00am for briefing. To much remote camper van time with your good lady!!!!

Fort William was great event and thanks to all who turned up and especially all the new riders. Will be good to see you at some more, can not promise the good weather. British sections are similar to the level at Fort William for most of the lower classes, so don't be put off by it being a British round.  Camping on site from Saturday (I will be there Friday) with Toilets and cafe open for food and CAKE. Entries will be on Entry Central shortly and need to be done there and before the event please or it cost you extra. Star of the event was Donnie riding his full suspension enduro bike in Intermediate class until he broke it!!

  6. Aaron just snapped/cracked a third frame within nearly a year? In my experience getting it welded causes heat around the new weld to weaken that area and it will not last. Even trying to put in a strengthening piece in will not work as the loads are just transferred to an area weakened by the welding.  It can also twist the frame if not jigged when welding a major area. I am no welding expert but in the early years when we tried to get welding done it never worked. Big thanks to Tarty for sorting us out a new frame so quickly.

I guess so, but then in the past 10 years I've moved house 12 times, and I still don't really know where I'd want to actually stick around at.  It'd be cool to try NZ for a bit, it'd be cool to head over to Canada for a while, etc. - it'd be a lot easier to do that if I hadn't put a mortgage down on something, and wasn't still having to pay that off monthly and so on.  I know that it means that for the past 11 years since leaving home I've been helping various landlords pay their mortgages, or just line their pockets, and I don't have anything tangible to show for it, but I feel I've gained a lot from being able to just move where I want to move to, be where I want to be, etc.  For example, when I came to the end of my last year in uni I happened to bump into a riding photographer I knew.  We went for a roadtrip up to Newcastle.  I really liked it there, got on well with the people there and it just so happened that a friend of a friend had a spare room available.  I didn't have any other plan, so moved to Newcastle with whatever shit I could fit in my bag, which happened to be this:

    bag-o-stuff.jpg

    stuff.jpg

That ended up with me getting some photography work and helping film some DVDs, which in turn led to me doing what I do now to an extent.

I just like the ability to be semi spontaneous with stuff like that, and I don't really see that as being super compatible with having a mortgage somewhere.  As another example I got offered a photography gig when I had a month over in NZ, and if I was tied to somewhere back here that shit would be no bueno.

Apologies for just how painfully coolstorybro.jpg all that was.

Not enough people do what you are doing and are just driven into uni/job/mortgage/kids/die. Hats of to you Mark, I have a few mates that have done what you are doing, and love life. Trying to convince my two that its an option, but it is their choice in the end but are listening I think. I kinda did what you are doing, just worked where I wanted, but bought a house and just struggled with it for years but stilled played hard. All done and dusted now through lots of hard work, but now starting to cut down on work and up play time. Each to their own but never be told your life plan by expectation of others. I still don't have one just take each day as it comes.

  8. Again not to qualified on this. when the riders are younger longer cranks mean easier leverage? and a by product that its easier to get the pedal down to rest?

Older riders can gain more strength and therefore can lever a smaller crank over a shorter distance to get more power/lift.? by product that it is less easier to get a pedal down?
