  6. Hi. I have a Diamondback Kubuki mono. Im fairly new to riding trials. I have been out in the garden back wheel hopping and brakes didnt grip on one of the hops and I found my self on the floor!Brake now doesnt work at all although I can see the brake pads moving? I have had problems with the rear brake since I got the bike, so I had a bike store look at it and they bled it. I still needed to pull the lever all the way back to the handlebar to brake properly. The shop told me the brake was old and would need replacing soon. I now need the bike ready for tuesday so must get it fixed but i dont think its worth spending money on if it will break again. Its a magura rear v brake (hs33). If anyone knows anything I could do cheaply I will give it a bash though. I think I need a new brake but which one to get. I have around 100 pounds to spend. My bike has the capability to have rim or disk brakes. Which one should I get and which brake will be the best for my budget and good durability????? Help would be appreciated. Thanks Josh.

  10. Hi there, I am learning to ride street trials and I have spent, who knows how many hours learning to trackstand. Well I have nailed the trackstand, I can wheelie whilst pedaling and can just about backwheel hop most times, but i cannot manual. I can pull up my bike in order to bunny hop etc. but when i try to manual my bike seems so long. Im unable to pull the front wheel up, however far back I shift my weight. I a ride 26 inch diamondback. Should I be pedaling into the manual, then roll freely or am I doing something wrong???? Please help Thanks

  15. Hi, I have a Quad QHD -1 front disk brake on my trials bike. I have looked around on the internet and it does look like a fairly good brake although mine seems to be constantly rubbing. I have replaced the pads and the calipers will not go any further back so i do not know how to stop the rubbing. I was advised by Cycles UK to buy a new set of brakes although after buying my new trials bike i am quite short on money. Does anyone know what could be wrong with the brake, how to overcome it, or alternatively a good new front brake for a fair price? Help would be much appreciated. Thanks Joshua.
