  4. Get a Job!

    Bike polo?

  5. As long as the weather is good a street ride will be on, 7:30 ish at the blocks outside M&S.
  6. The frame looks much better now it has some nice meaty dents in the downtube.
  7. 1 more sleep till ride day!!

  8. Ironicly just checked the weather for Bristol at the weekend. Sunday night might be wet. Probably a saturday ride for me.
  9. New bike will be built by tonight. Happy

  10. New Frame on order. Sweet

  11. You would hope the Sl is better for the money. I have the TR lever on some Maguras. Works really well and the lever look sexual.
  12. I cant wait to put my new bits on my echo. shiney shiney. We might have to go riding in the snow!
  13. I can't wait to touch it inappropriately.
  14. Still funny. but England was never my stong point.
  15. If you put the pads into a pan of water and washing up liquid then "bring to the boil and simmer for a few minutes". The fibres that the stopping surface are made of expand and all the junk floats to the top. Luckily for you wd40 is just a water dispersant and lubricating is low down on it's list of uses.
  16. Try going to a bike shop. There is a special tool that can fit them without damaging the nut. I would hope that a bike shop wouldn't be so tight as to charge for the pleasure. As much as it pains me Halfords should have that tool.
  17. This is only a little bit of advice but when I was building wheels I found it helpful to have a built wheel to look at for reference. Once you get into it wheel building is easy and quite relaxing. Don't be surprised if you ruin a few rims riding though. Have fun
  18. Anyone remember me? I started this tread. Hope you have all enjoyed it!
  19. Gosh, and I was being so serious about it! Maybe I will start a new tread quiz for all the newbies!
  20. I have had a thought! Scrap the "5 vote" problem and have a 10 question multiple choice quiz on trials and bikes. I will donate the first one. What does DCD stand for? If you know the answer help the cause and put the next question!
  21. It's amuses me how of topic this has gone but never mind. Thanks for all the comments. It's been a laugh.
  22. I would have to say it depends on your riding style and how you want it to look. I'm a old school frame kinda guy so frames that I like are simple like the old cannondale that martyn Ashton used to ride. Nice basic designs are what I like best. The closest new frames to that from briefly looking is the echo pure frame from a few years back. You will probably find that if you like how the frame looks it will probably ride good too. It's gonna be a bit pyschological. Good luck in your hunt.
