Okay thanks, will have a look at the site later. What do you mean what kinda of pull ups am i doing? I would like to work on my 6pack,pecks,arms though due to the fact it does make everything easier, especially at work when i'm hauling boxes upstairs.
Yeah buy there's only so much you can do from riding, to be fair, i've been riding two years and i never ache(spelling??) after a ride, however i do after a work out.
How do you hold the bar? What position are your arms in?

Sorry mate, I think it looks terrible.

If you can see your frame flex when you pull your lever in hard, then you might want to be running a booster As Dan said, sometimes with a 4-bolt booster can make you lose quite a bit of bite. More hold though.
-
Pretty sure Jake Hickey tried it as well. You might want to speak to him.

Thanks a lot guys, that's a good help.

Hello,
Pretty noobish topic but oh well. Selling a pair of forks and I really have no idea on how to package them. Should i just try and tape cardboard around them? Also, does anyone know roughly how much it costs to send forks? Thanks.

Rear the first 10 reviews they're all good.. no harm in trying it out anyway
Yeah, but if you look at the ones at the bottom, haha
-
Just watched all of those. You're a great rider, it's a shame you're having to give up. How tall are you? Did you feel comfortable on the stock?
-
If you take a look on chainreaction you'll see that there are plenty of good reviews but also lots of bad ones. link
I doubt they'd be much good on a trials bike, and doesn't sound like they would last long. Guess you could always try it out and prove me wrong though
-
Hey. I live in Angus, so not too far from you. Unfortunately, I won't have my bike back up and running until after christmas but I'm sure we could sort something out then? Cheers
-
but it still works and is useful.
does it?
-
Another brand like the others.. Not impressed really.
I still think it looks really nice. But yeah, guess it does kind of look like a lot of frames now.
-
Lovely! Just bought one of these exact frames. How does it ride? No tensioner?
-
I think it's shite.

Well, isnt this a funny little thread. Firstly Ali C....BRILLIANT u made me chuckle HARD so hats of to you !!! So, ive spoken to Matt Vandart today, he enlightened me to this thread, as ive been away i didnt know it existed, ive had a read, and its kinda silly really. hope u find this as comedy as i do!! trust me youll like the end result!!
I've BROUGHT some bits and pieces off of ryan and he was always nice as pie to me, very helpful and the items came quick and nicely packaged, seemed like a nice chap. Now it can get very frustrating when people on the internet start saying stuff and getting the wrong end of the stick that controls the band wagon. I'm not by any means defending him, his actions or the situation as he left out some small but major details (which pissed me off) about products i had bought (which i struggled to sell on as they didnt fit my bike) i contacted him and had no reply so i was just like f*ck it, ill sell em for cheaper than i got em if the willy wont to talk to me!!
Aaannyy way. i was kinda appaulled at the way everyone jumped on the kids back and it seemed like it turned abit nasty and horrible, ok he shuda kept the receipt and whatnot but who hasn't scrumpled it, thrown it over the shoulder, excited, on the way to greggs to get a pasty and a dohnut huh? yea blah blah he should of handled himself better and other people may have had issues. fact of the matter is all the key board warriors jumped on his back, ive seen it 100x over on reptileforums etc. all u people slated him for his attitude...if i was onza i wouldnt sponsor, or want to ride with ANY OF YOU!! Now this has been resolved we can have some peace round here. i havent been on as ive been away on my yearly mushroom picking trip. excuse the pun lol. Now im back and hello to all, think thats it now, thanks for reading peeps. seems like i was kind of a lost link in all this.
Yours thankfully
Sam Crouch
P.S oh yea, what i said before about ryan not talking to me about the items I bought, he kindly resolved that problem by sending me a nice new set of tyres....CHEERS MATEY, it was lovely to come home to them sitting by the door !!!
To be honest mate, people are only jumping on the bandwagon because Ryan has had several dispute threads. None of them were resolved quickly or easily as far as I know. With a reputation like that, you'd expect him to be a bit more careful when selling items on here. It really has nothing to do with me, but just thought I'd put my opinion across.

The lockring is pretty thin so it would be hard to get a grip on it with the vice. I'll give it a go though. Thanks
I managed to use a vice to tighten mine on today, so i reckon it's possible. But yeah, it could quite easily slip out
-
I do indeed
Could probably just clamp your wheel in the vice by the lockring then turn the wheel to get the lockring off. Don't know how careful you'd have to be though..
-
I want to change to a 19T on the back but can't get past the lock ring. I don't have the money to buy the tool and don't have a shop to do it for me. Any ways to take it off without the tool?
Do you have access to a vice?
-
I wouldn't trust the bike 100% without having a good look at it (at that price), and yeah you should. The colour scheme is horrible, no offence haha.
White forks, handlebars and cranks.
Black stem, frame, pedals and wheels?
White forks and cranks with a black frame? Doesn't sound nice at all.
-
Hmm, I personally wouldn't pay much more than £200 for that. Would need better spec list to decide properly though.
-
adamant frame
tryall front disc wheel
unknown forks
unknown front v brake
kmc chain
adamant cassett hub on unknown drilled rim
hs33 rim brake rear with goodridge stainless steel braided hose and a hard compound pad syncros bars with a monty stem.
Does the seller have any pictures? That would help out a lot. But at the moment, it doesn't sound like it's worth too much.
-
It's all down to what parts are on it mate. But i did pick up an A3 frame on here for 40 quid..
-
Don't see the point in previews unless you're a beast, but decent riding for your age. As said above, wear a helmet.
