  1. kinlochleven was good, except for the timing in the year was a bit off. Id recommend fort bill / kinlochleven being summer rounds to make the most of both spots.

ill do my best to get round to more of the comps this year!

good idea ben only one thing i wouldn't have kinlochleven any later than middle of may as midges and bracken start getting out of hand!! Kevin my british round dates and scottish dates will be out on the 10th, so if i could give you them so you have a idea of weekend. i would really like to get to them all this year.

  2. kev as said you need to give disc brakes awile to bed in. start a fresh, new pads etc, wipe disc with methylated spirits. To help bed them in keep pouring clean water over the disc and use the brakes and just repeat this for awile as it will help.

  3. Results and end of year champoinship. See you all next year. Me and the boyz are going to last round of British if anybody wants to come along. Going down on Saturday and camping in van near venue.

Hi kev, i only dropped 13 yesterday not 20!!. mike made a mistake at some point which he said would be sorted. 7/4/2 was my laps.

i know it doesn't matter but i always like things being spot on.

  4. glad it went well kev!! maybe better dates picked for next year so theres more than 2people in expert etc, aj & myself would of liked to be there but had a scottish champ motor trial today, i did say this 2months ago hoping it could be changed, never mind. Hope arron gets back on it soon, very unlucky, heard the news earlier on today, one of these things in trials i guess.

  5. The best grinder disc i have tried is a TRAVIS PERKINS THIN CUTTING DISC. pretty hard and puts a real nice sharp grind on the rim if used properly, use this with heatsink yellows and its a winner. Itake it you have a good quality rim if not well that could be a problem.

  6. Great stuff Gary... really nice to see some natural riding. I guess as a moto trials rider (and an old git!) i just can't get that excited about concrete bashing vids.

What is the state of play on your moto riding? I believe you had an injury at the beginning of the season but are you back on the road again, or has the price of fuel just got too much to keep riding lower down in the UK at the national events.

Hey up how are you, well you hit the nail on the head first shot! am back in action and still putting lots of effort into training and scottish champ rounds etc. Had a brilliant year in ssdt with a 5th and first non pro. I can't raise any funds to travel down south nomore, bought a house and had to grow up and try make a living. I won the kinlochleven british round by a long shot and will be down at brimham rocks at the next british round to give it a bash. The injury has fully recovered and causes noprobs.

  7. Right, after trawling through the Pad reviews, both of these sound promising.

    I'm really in two minds.

So I'm looking to see what you all think is the best out of the two for all round performance.

I ride mostly TGS, so mega bite and hold is a must.

Im wanting to take your opinions on board to help me choose :)

    Cheers

  8. do what you feel is right gary? no-one else can tell you how you will feel on something like that...got any old bars you dont want / really need? cut them down first and see how you feel on them, then if you feel better on smaller bars cut your expensive bars down, if you feel happier at 720, then leave them at that and put your expensive bars back on?

you have millions of spare parts.

on a plus note...thinner bars = less weight you big homo :P

cheers ben, i don't have any cheap bars so i've cut them down to 715mm so tough tits if its no good now lol. Thats a upgrade for me as usually am a wee homo :giggle:

  9. Hi guys, right i have been using rockman carbons for awile which are 28.5inch/720mm wide. Now using the new try-all elite bars which have the same geo but are 29.75/755mm which are massive, i cut them down to 720mm. now am not the biggest of guys, would it help to have them slightly smaller? I know the wider the more stability there is but could they be making things harder for me when it comes to some moves.

any info would be much appreciated.

    cheers
