  1. Gary I can see you try hard to stop pumping. But still, you do pump too much on some of these clips! You get tired too fast man! Also you still don't take your time to make your move.

But I can clearly see you try to gain composure sometimes to settle into the next move. It looks nicer.

    Keep up the good work!

yeah am trying but afew days won't fix it but give me amonth and hopefully i should have it under control more!! I find am extremely fit because i do move way to much. Its funny as am really composed on the motor trials bike but i guess 18/19years of riding comps has help me along the way. I will work on it from now and really try think about each move. much appreciated though, all is taking on board!! Its all a learning curve (Y)

    thanks

  2. I hope it was yer bird that made the song choice on that one.

james your to good man!! it was the bird lmao.

looking good, although I have noticed that perhaps your bars could do with being tilted back a bit. When riding it looks like the bar position is forcing you to ride with an "elbows out" style. rolling the bars back would bring the upper body into a slightly more natural position and could perhaps improve your riding.

I only mention this because you do seem quite keen on tips, so please don't take it as a negative comment.

If you watch these vids you can see they look a bit more relaxed and natural in the upper body positioning, and because of this I think it translates into more relaxed riding.

Ali thanks very much, its the first thing i'll do tomorrow. Am after as many tips as possible as i have no one here to learn from!! I only just put those bars on last week and i thought i'd try them forward, i did find my sidehops are more difficuilt aswell as before i had them roled back and there was noprob. (Y)

  3. Kinda makes me want to be back in the Highlands. Do you still ride moto? Whereabouts are the Scottish championships held?

Hi pal, yeah motortrials is still my main sport for sure!! The scottish champs are all over the place really to be honest.

  4. Hi guys, right i know i've banged afew vid's up but this is my last one for prob 3months or so, was a great weekend weather wise so i took the opportunity to take some clips of (The mound). Its a great place for natural trials when the weather good!

    enjoy peeps

  5. Your style, like canard pointed out, reminds me of TRA....very dynamic and lots of movement. You surprised me a couple times on some of the ups and gaps you did. I was shocked you made some of them cause in some ups and gaps, you looked like you were maxxed out on much lower objects then the next clip comes, it's a bit higher and you max out on it; which is why it surprised me you made it some times. You look the same whether the object is high or low (and near or far), which I've never seen before and is interesting as hell.

Eitherway, awesome progress! You've climbed the ladder pretty damn fast.

cheers!! yeah i do move alot to keep myself focused and balanced, i'm going to work on it and try steady myself up abit as it makes things look abit rough. i only just learned the gap to front 2wks ago so i still have alot of perfecting to do.

Flipping heck! Gary you are coming along really well. Keep it up mate. You'll be up there with best of them in know time with your fast progression.

Hi nick how are you, thanks man! i've been pushing myself solid for the last 2wks to try get more confidence on the gap to fronts as they scare the sh&t out of me at the moment. I was out yesterday at my local natty bashing ground and its far more suited to my riding than street, got some really good clips so will hopefully have a good video mid week.

    thanks

    (Y)

  6. You sure are very good man, your progress is really impressive!

But one thing I have to say. You sometimes remind me of TRA. Because sometimes you look like you're losing composure or balance. This could be better if you took your time during the move, being dynamic as you are now but being more patient. This is not negative at all, I think it would really improve your technique making it look more smooth and relaxed.

    But you ride really well!

    Keep going man!

Thanks, yeah your bang on, i sometimes look very rushed, i'll def need to work on it and try ride smoother!! This is what am looking for constructive criticism. any help will be taking on board!!

    cheers

  7. Just watched and love it yet again gary. Some serious progress being made and some top riding and filming spots!

thanks man, I've nearly sussed the gap to front, just 2wks ago for some reason it clicked since then i've been trying bigger and bigger moves to try get rid of the fear factor, seems to be working but alot of learning still to do. weathers not great here so finding it hard to get stuff done.

  8. Hi peeps, just some clips of my progress, not a great video but will have a good natty bashing one hopefully next week!! This video is mainly of gaps to front as thats all i have been practising at the moment!

    cheers

  9. UPDATE, right after the advice/help you guys have giving me i thought about it and then started trying to get the move. so after watching adams vids and alex darks latest vid about 300hundred times which helped hughly!! Its all come together at last, last week it just clicked and now doing some quite beasty gaps to front and up to fronts. still needing to perfect it but its getting there. Going to start making a video this week so i hope the weather holds so i can get some good shots.

    thanks again guys!

  10. cheers guys!! The bash gaurd is great, i have missed judged afew things and landed on it, you can feel it soak up the impacked, so for me its really good as it is more friendly to the frame, cranks etc when it go's all wrong. Its worth the extra few grams, Am not a complete weight weeny so its a good call for riders who are pushing there boundary's trying to get better.

  11. Ross if you fancy trying another pad try tnn kenny b's or phat pads. The kennys with a fresh grind really are seriously good, bite and hold wet or dry but they do wear a grind down quick! One thing i will say is in the winter time when in the 0 temps they don't work at all. Am using my phatpads ATM just to try out again and they're also very impressive in wet or dry but don't match the heatsink yellows for all round braking IMO.

  12. How are the tyres ? I want to buy some but am used to bounce and if I don't like them it's a waste of money, lovely bike by the way, really like that frame.

thanks man, tyres are nothing far from amazing, won't be using conti's anymore.
