Im looking to buy a set of wheels, maybe ebay for now second hand What wheels should i look out for? I want ones reasonably light and strong? its for a 26" bike

Im looking to build a set of wheels for my Giant Martyn Ashton bike 26" Basically when i used to ride we just had what ever came on the bike or what we could get our hands on, normally hope hubs and mavic rims! Now theres so many options so i need a bit of help, Im looking to get the parts together for around 150 for both front and back, with a matching set, i would like a Disc mount on the front, and a magura on the back I like the look of the drilled Rims also which i see are quite cheap, im just not sure what width i would need, and what hubs? Thanks

We used to use tar off the roads back in the day when we were younger, doesn't last very long though! I think a good Rim/Pad combo is better which is what people have already said obviously if you had coloured rims you wouldnt really want to grind them!

Thanks dude, i see alot of people are running a disc brake at the front and magura at the rear, Any Reason? Back when i used to ride it was HS33's all round

Hello lads, My names jamie, im from Norwich and i am now getting back into trials after a 5 year break, i stopped riding after i got a driving license and a girlfriend and stopped thinking about trials, Now i have my dream car a Honda S2000 and due to the bad weather i dont want to drive it so im going to bike instead I couldnt just stop there though if i want a bike i have to tinker around with it so im thinking about taking up trials again I started at 13 had myself a Saracen X-ile and a set of Magura's lol I have had some pretty nice bikes, Giant Martyn Ashton, Saracen Xtort (MAD Red white and Blue) Got stolen from my garage Saracen MAD in white Brisa B26D Then i got into Jump bikes had a DMR Sidekick I just bought myself a bargain of a bike on ebay, £50 for a Giant Martyn Ashton, standard Im going to have some fun building a bike as i havnt for years! I just wanted to know what the best websites are to buy trials parts from which are quite reliable? Thanks
