  1. What is that..... lets to a fmx comp. with less style, size and tricks. wow... they have really lost the point of trials.
  2. i have inspired rims so i would think the combo with holy rollers would be ok
  3. I have an inspired fourplay with maxxis holy rollers. When i try to hope sideways more than a metre I generally peel the back tyre of the rim and get a large puncture 50% of the time. Never happen on my stock. Is this the tyres, i know the holy rollers have thin walls. I am really happy with my tyre pressures for every other move like pedal ups, drops and bunny hops, pivots etc, or do i have to land on more of an angle instead of so upright. Hard if trying on land on a thin wall though. Happens most when trying to push my limits. If its only short then no problem. Any advice welcome. Thanks

    Shoes?

i have had a pair of try-all shoes, the best i have ever ridden in. But the soles wore through very quickly and i went back to skate shoes. If money was no issue then try-all's all the way, they were like riding in socks for feel but with the comfort of slippers.
  5. i have a tensile freewheel, and it is cheaper than the echo SL, i have found it very good, i have had it for 2 years and it is strong and doesn't skip. Only down side is there are not LOADS of engagements but enough for me. ( 60 ) i would say this is enough for all but the expert / elite.
  6. Hi, my name is Guy, i am too old. I have been riding trials for 3 years, but mainly in the summers. I live in Surrey near Haslemere. I never see any other trials riders around when i go out, other than in Guildford when i go occasionally. So if anyone from Guildford ? Haslemere around let us know, it would be good to have someone to ride with from time to time.
  7. Nice video, how old are you now? You are very smooth, i would like to have been that good.
  8. switching them round (euro style) and letting your younger brother's friends have a go and watch them try to skid, but superman over the front is lots of fun, just do it on some grass not tarmac! not so funny. We have got three of his mates now, never gets old.
  9. Thanks all, i think i know what you mean with pushing the legs through, in my head anyway. To much snow and sledging with my daughter right now!!!!! i will come back with any results when the snows gone, hooray!
  10. Thanks for the advice, will give it ago as soon as the ice melts a bit !!!
  11. I am having trouble pulling the front end up and doing manuals. if i hop up on to the back wheel and then give a pedal kick i can manual for maybe 8-10m. But when i try to start from a rolling start i cant get the front end high enough, even if i go stupidly hard at it i cant get the front up and go straight of the back, if that makes sense. I have a fairly flat stem angle 10 degrees, which i like for side hops, but wonder if a stem with more angle might be the answer? any advice or things i could try before i go out and buy a new stem?
  12. Breath, breath, breath. When ever i am struggling to balance it is generally because i end up holding my breath. the same applies with power. if i cant get enough height on something not holding my breath really helps. i had to learn to do this by breathing really loud, so practice at home first!!!!!!
  13. go for the cheaper frame if your just starting, when i started i bashed and damaged the frame alot. also when you get a little better your style and approach will become clearer to you and you can up grade to a new frame that suits that approach
