Deffo on this Adam!
Let me know if i can be of any assistance in anything.
-
From past experience Iv found king races to be quite a loose fit on some forks.
Try perhaps shimming it with a coke can?
-
Iv found 18:13 spot on too Prior to that i ran 22:14

Hay man
Just gave my man a ring that i use and he says yeh no problem doing them, £53 plus vat and postage though
Think Im gonna wear 2 belts from now on if you know what i mean!
I know that was a little random but just incase you wanted to know a ball park price, think thats about the going rate. Perhaps look for a local sand blaster or engineering service, the will strip them for you i would guess. Saves a lot of mess
Or, gasket remover apparently

Hope this helps

Hey all,
Could you help me out with a little research? This has a point, I promise.
Please respond with the following info. (Please don't reply if you've already given the info on OTN)
1. Your max sidehop. Either side (whichever is your best side), to wheels. 48"
2. How long you've been riding 8 years
3. How tall you are 175 cm
4. Mod/Stock stock
5. Do you lift weights regularly? (More than 2x/week. It counts if you lift during winter but not during the summer) been on and off through injury but id say roughly 3 times a week, nothing too heavy.
-
Id go with that also, just run a chaser through it a couple of times nice and slow with plenty of cutting fluid on, or if you can get hold of an actual bottom bracket tap (ones used to cut them from scratch) then try that. You might get another .05 - .08 out of it, still be a squeeze with the sound of it though.
Good luck mate Always a bugger when things like this happen
-
Ditto mate!
What pads do you run?
-
I run TR's, there awesome!

Hay man.
Might be a twisted frame, or might just be that one drop out is slightly deeper than the other. Its tricky to measure either. There could be just more paint in the top of the drop out perhaps? Have you tried putting the wheel in the opposite way around? that could eliminate a bent axel or show that its just one of the drop outs?
Hope this helps.

Id go for the Hs33 front and it doesn't really matter what pads you run, its like sticking a stick in the front wheel I got converted from a disk a few weeks ago, epic!
-
Blow torch them till there red hot< the the whole thing glowing hot. Get em on some 180 grit and put your rotor in the dish washer always a winner for me.

How much would you charge for a custom mod frame and do you use CroMo tubes? (I would email but I can't be bothered setting my email accounts up on my phone )
Every custom frame is tailored to the rider and i use only the best materials in my frames, this does not include cro-mo. My frames are also made to a 0.2mm tolerance on tube alignment, with all the threads / bearing interfaces being faced and reamed before shipping.
Price wise, skys the limit. I will be more than happy to quote you on your specific needs
Cheers

Custom options are available:) If someone wants a custom model, i like to see how they ride so i can offer the best advise and produce the best frame for their riding style and what they want from the bike.
I'm pretty sure he will be doing all/most of the custom options like Marino does on his...
Very impressed with these after seeing it today dude! Wasn't expecting the stock to be that light and stiff especially for the first one.
Ride again soon, and I'll try and get some sort of idea for mine put together.
Thanks for that court. We'll get together and get yours rolling, and certainly ride soon.
what sort of price are you looking at for a custom frame? sorta 1040mm wb, 72ha, 362cs, +75bb (roughly) ?
Prices start from £349 but as the sky is the limit on what i can produce, it makes it hard to price. It wont be 100 miles away from the base price though:) I can draw up a few options if you wish. Drop me a line at info@wip-bikes.com for more info
Thanks again guys!
Not too bad really price wise. They TIG or brazed? Intrested in this superlight stuff. All out Reynolds? Tempted to say make me a copy of a Pashley 26Mhz but with round tubing and light as possible.
There all tig welded inhouse. The Superlight will be a mix of 853/953 and T-45. Can give you a price and weight on it if you wish.
Drop me a line at info@wip-bikes.com and ill see what i can come up with.

Theres a comp frame in the pipe line, gonna be triple butted and super light, fingers crossed, and if my maths is up to scratch, 1.1kg for the mod and 1.25kg for the stock. On paper it works, however in the workshop it varies.
-
For example the main tube butts are as folows, 100mm @ 20swg down to 22swg over 300 mm back up to 20 swg over 100 mm with 75mm step up and step downs
Hers some info on why i use high quality steel too :)http://reynoldstechnology.biz/assets/pdf/rtl_steel_alloys_extract.pdf
-
They range depending on the riders preference, style of riding and weight. Sticking to double butted tubing keeps the weight reasonable and retains the strength. Im 85 kg and ride at things hard with zero signs of fatigue on the frame.

The Ns is a really nice bike and flows through trails really well, not tried hopping on one though and their fairly weighty, but STRONG! There are that many brands and kinds of bikes/frames out there now that gone are the days of dropping the seat on whatever you had in the garage and doing whatever you fancy on it that day.
