  1. Hi everyone, I'm bored so I thought I'd ask everyone what is the most ridiculous weight saving technique that they know of. I've heard of people stripping the paint from the spokes!!
  2. Hi, Just wondering if anybody has been to Birchwood or Red Scar, looks great on the videos on vimeo. Thanks
  3. My mate has just got an onza comp and it is perfect. You could go out and buy a cheaper onza with v-brakes, but a couple of months down the line when you want more from your brakes, you will wish you had disc brakes or maguras and a cheaper frame and forks may not have the mounts for these type of brakes. So, yes I think a bike such as this would be perfect, if you are prepared to pay £619.00, then fair enough, but if you wait a while and keep an eye out on ebay, you will get a bike just as good, second hand for a lot less than that or you could look at the for sale section on this website. Simple answer, yes an onza comp would be perfect for a person such as youself looking for a good quality and long lasting bike.
  4. Thanks, maybe I will look at some others then. I have read a few bad reviews about them so maybe some others. Jamie_Trials, i see you have the RockMan Alkali, what do you think to it because I am considering a new frame soon. Sorry, reading wrong topic!! Happy new year though.
  5. Does anybody know where I can get hold of a pair of try-all shoes because I can't find any anywhere with decent sizes. Tartybikes have only got size 48.
  6. Definately the Echo TR Platform 2011. I have just put a pair of these on my bike and they are 10 times better than the DMR V8 that i hd before. Wider, more grippy and just better quality.
  7. I used to run a creepy crawler on the rear and found that it wore better than the eagle claw tyre, but I would go with the Monty eagle claw all the way. The try-all wears down far too quickly, especially when you ride on concrete and tarmac. The eagle claw is the perfect compromise. For the front definately Kenda small block - the middle sized one - 1.95".
  8. If you are using glue to put them on, then get 5 or 6 cable ties slide them through and then the grip just slides over the bar and then you just pull the ties out before the glue dries and thats how i've done it and its quick and easy. If you have no glue then use some contact cleaner/hairspray and use the same technique.
  9. sam!! i added you as a friend and put a validation down for you so you should become a member soon, and post something in new members chat not in the thread and people should validate you easier :)

  10. Hi George. Couldn't have put it better. I've been riding one and a half years and it's suprising how fast you progress. If anyone else reads this and lives near north yorkshire get in touch and we should all meet up and have a great day somewhere good. -When the snow dissapears that is. George, can you guess who I am!!
