  1. Wow 180 pounds!

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/ONZA-HITMAN-BRAND-NEW-2010-TRIALS-BIKE-/250805455678?pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item3a652b8b3e

At this price wouldn't it be worth getting this one?

umm i don't know my mate has a Onza Cleaner which has similar parts to this but by what i have seen it looks really clunky

watch this video and you will see what i mean

also if there is a bike you like and you find it somewhere cheaper TartyBikes will try and match the price of that bike but if its a really low price say over £100-£150 lower they may not do it because its making it a lot cheaper than it usually is

  2. Hi guys,

I've just signed on so I think I should say hello.

I'm currently based in London and riding BMX but I wanted to try trials and see how that fits me.

I'm not looking for a 20"..I think I'll just start with a 26" as further on I might want to move on to a 24".

On tartybikes I saw the Onza Hitman (http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_trials_bikes/onza_hitman/c47p10275.html) as it is the only affordable one. I know it won't be much good but could it be ok for starters?

I don't want to be spendig money on something I might not pick up.

Do you think I could get a better deal looking through used bikes?

if you do bmxing the best thing for you is to move to a 24" Bike because they are more street based riding. I ride a Onza Zoot and it is a really good bike to start on. I got the bike at Christmas time for i moved on from bmxing but i wasnt very good at bmxing since i got a onza zoot i have improved a lot it is a nice bike to ride but then that is my opinion

  3. it is alright but it is depending on what type of riding you will be doing if it is road biking then i guess that bike would be alright as long as you don't do anything major to damage it say try tricks if you were wanting to move on from road it would not be a wise thing to do with those sort of bikes especially from halfords they may say they are No. 1 bike specialists but most halfords aren't reliable

  4. 90mm and 20-25 degree rise, is good for 24, but if you want to go abit more side hoppy go for around 100-110. Take some spacers out or put some more on to get your right height.

Yeah i have been looking at ones that are 110mm and i reckon 20° stem would be about right. I might go for Trialtech Race Welded Black, 110mm x 20° thanks for the help i will check that one out at some point

  5. how much of a beginner are you? can you bunnyhop over wheel height, pedal kick, back hop, endo, pivot, sidehop, drop higher than 2', etc...? If the majority or the answers you would give are no, then it really does not matter what bike you are on, you could learn them on a road bike. If you have got to a level where you are starting to develop a bit of style then the zoot and the echo are for very different riders and very different styles, though as ali said, learning on the zoot would make you a better all rounder

I can't bunny hop wheel hight but i have the hang of pedal kicks, rear wheel hops, endo, pivot (but not 180 degrees round about 120 degrees), haven't attempted side hops and i can side drop of a wall about rib hight and im 6 foot so that wall would be round about 3/4 foot ish

  6. I am have trouble deciding whether to get a new frame at the end of this year. I have been looking at the Echo Trial 2011 frame but i have only been doing trials for a few months i'm improving but i don't know whether it would help to do new stuff for it has no seat unlike the Zoot.
