Hello Kevin and hello to all Scottish friends! It was an intense weekend, full of emotions and beautiful moments. This experience will remain forever in my heart. We did the best of our abilities, we hope that you were happy with our work. BikeTrial is not just sport, it is also friendship, exchange of experiences and being together; BikeTrial sport is undoubtedly a great unifying among people! Yesterday night, nature has shown its muscle toward men ... The country of Sonico has experienced dramatic moments and fear, fortunately only property damage and no people. Touristic information to better know Sonico town: Among the activities of contour to BikeTrial World Championship, the organizers of the event offers two moments dedicated to culture and knowledge of the territory of the Municipality of Sonico and CamonicaValley. The first one, in collaboration with the local ProLoco Touristic Office, will cover a visit to some of the historical and artistic beauty of the country such as Sonico, the Parish Church of Saint Lawrence, the MiddleAged iron furnace and the Park of Engravings rock in the "Coren dele Fate". The visit will be conducted with the help of a guide and will be completely free. The day's visit will be on Thursday, August 2, starting at the Hall ProLoco route, close to the sections nr.11-12 World Championship BikeTrial Competition, at 9.30AM . Scott, do not tell lies! Section 1 was "only" 600 meters from the start and each round was a little over 1 mile. Each round for the WBC will be 1.5 miles (but for 2 rounds). We are working on another great event! Come in many, Italy is worth visiting! FB

In a very few days we will open registration for European Cup race on Sunday 10 July, and to Direct Clash of the race Saturday, July 9 (or those who are eligible). I recommend you to read the rules! For those who have doubts, concerns, requests for info, we are at your disposal through the usual channels (telephone and e-mail), or even here on this forum. Bye! Giuliano Gualeni Italian BIU Delegate For booking flights, I remind you to take advantage of Ryanair, which has a fly to Bergamo (Orio al Serio - BGY). You must then rent a car to get Sonico. Bergamo BGY airport is 95km from Sonico, about 40km to go fast roads and the remaining 55kms on regional roads. For those already in Darfo Boario last year for the BIU WBC, the road is the same from Bergamo to Darfo Boario, and then head towards Switzerland (north direction) for another 40kms. Usually you can drive about 1h20min from Bergamo Airport to Sonico.

I left a few lines in the keyboard I forgot to say, about the Indoor Direct Clash, that every winner of single clash goes to the next round while the loser goes into a group with the losers of the other clashes up to the final round. Both fighting (eliminating rounds and the finals with two bikers)are won by those who take less penalties but the discriminating in case of same penalty will be those who take less time. However it will soon be published also detailed rule of this competition. We are waiting for a big weekend of sport and fun! Bye!

Hello everyone! on the website www.eurobiketrial.com was published the Provisional Agenda and some information on the competition. As for the weekend, will start on Friday evening with a concert by Italian rock band, will be an evening entirely dedicated to young people and bikers the opportunity to share friendships. On Saturday there will be preliminary and technical checks on bikes and clothing and in the late afternoon there will be qualifying among our Italian bikers race for the Indoor Clash on saturday evening. This will be an indoor race in 2 sections with round knockout and indicatively, Direct Clash is a competition held in this way: A biker makes the section A (large stones) in one minute while the other biker is on the section B (of wood logs). The time for each section is 1 minute. There are 30 seconds to swap the position of the bikers and another minute to take the other section. The final is between 6 international bikers and 2 young Italian bikers(from qualifying). Is there a prize for the first 4 absolutes, for a total of 600 euro. Direct Clash Final Regulations will be published shortly on the official website of the competition that is www.biketrialitalia.it Before the end of the Indoor Clash is the opening ceremony of the event, with the town band and Local and Regional authorities that will give their greeting to the bikers and their companions. Follow the free dinner offered to all, with Italian food, which i think will be liked by everyone. Then on Sunday will be the European Cup competition with 7 (or 5) all natural sections inside of a very distinctive Forest Park, plus 1 indoor section of large stones. The round is to be repeated three times and our opinion is that will be very fun and technical, but with much spectacle for the spectators. The circuit of race track to reach the sections is 1.7 km long in total, the vast majority on the tarmac road to inside the forest woods (of course, no road vehicle!)
