  1. Not impossible, just time consuming :P.

I think im right in saying that it dosent have a downtube gusset? If so, there's your problem. All the stresses involved in that area would normally be disspersed ( apologies on the spelling :$ ) through that gusset, whereas here, the weld joining the 3 tubes is basically taking the hack, which is bad, as seen(Y)

Get a gusset on it and give it another go, was a nice looking frame :).

    Cheers,

    Josh.

Edit- Just had a look at the pictures mr travis put up of this, think the hydroforming in the down tube also had a big part to play in this snappage :) Putting quite a sharp recesse right next to the end of a welded joint that probably comes under the most stress of any part of the frame? Tut tut mr T.

you need to design bikes lad if you dont already most these modern trials companys dont' consider strength their priority they're blinded by the weight weenies :P

don't let monsieur monkey see your spelling he'll give you an english lesson

  2. Think you'll find that the carbon is just fine, its the top tube/down tube to headtube joint thats gone (Y).

    Cheers,

    Josh.

saw pic on my iphone i see what you mean, i still think a metal toptube would have took more of the impact but thats impossible to prove so ill shut up lol

  3. Frame has taken sooooo much abuse! surprised that it has lasted this long. It has served me well. Was just before the last demo of the day… actually managed to do that by holding front brake and putting pressure on the pedals. So no injuries or anything!

Ach well new frame hopefully on the way!

you sponsored too? no injury and free replacement lucky bugger lol

  4. yikes how he hell did you manage that? i've never so much as cracked a frame in 10 years never mind cut one in half wow :o hopefully you aren't hurt that could've been bad in so many ways

ah carbon fibre frame no wonder, well atleast you saved weight huh

  5. get a sense of humour pal his names pedro and i jokingly linked to the sweet ride on napoleon dynamite dont like my humour fair enough but lighten up a little all you do is bitch in every fukign thread never a good word from you ever

  6. How ridiculous. The internet, and life, is full of people with opinions. Do you act like a prat to everyone you meet who thinks differently to you? You clearly like your bike, which is great. Don't throw your toys out the pram when someone doesn't like it, it's less mature than these 'kids' you're being a knob to!

all i said was keep quiet not f off you blah blah blah.... i dont care what he or you thinks just dont bother replying saying u dont like it i dont care, but i wouldnt dream of posting ur bike sucks to someone on here whos bike i dont like when i know theyve spent alot of money and time making it that is just being a douche so ill treat him like a douche

  8. The Orange Zero era isn't old school, not just your bike but Zero's in general. Mid-school.

1997-2000 was the birth of stock trials specific bikes forgive me if im wrong pace, pashley, cannondale, giant, orange, vario, norco thats where it started

  9. Don't get me wrong, it's lovely. But somebody said it's old school. It's older than new, but not old school.

well apart from the front brake and bars which i mentioned are temporary so i can just get out and ride it now the wheels are all thats new and the pro 2's look exactly the same as the old xc's but are better and with more reliability than 10 year old components... and the ex721 is the replacement for the d521 all i've done really is bought the modern day replacements for reliability but physically its the exact same components with new stickers and logo's fair enough to those who think its shit but its hardly modern mate

  10. Aye, a nice matching raceline booster back and front with a set of Pashley forks would be nice. Onza caged pedals too! 12 quid, remember? Yas. A fixed sora mech would be cool too.

some tv series forks went unsold on ebay the other week but i was adamant on a front disc so didnt get them, i replied about the bars btw

  11. Well I was more meaning the booster and the front brake...The bars cant really be classed as old school enough for that bike either. So :P

:( i just threw the bars on as it's all i have i will put the old booster back on and swap the hope for a raceline just for you sir ;)

  12. that spacer kit isnt in stock mate, get the hope one. sprung tensioners actually keep the chain tight unlike fixed.doesnt really matter what kind of tensioner it is im using a cheapy £10 one and its better than the tensile two cage i had before if you can afford it get a rohloff, as for the chain yes get a kmc kool chain
