  1. Hi

Basically finding it hard to find new places to look for bikes online. At the moment i look on TartyBikes, Ebay, and ofcourse on here.

So any suggestions of good places to buy from - looking for a new stock bike and struggling to find new makes/ models.

Links would be great as well as if you have bought from them

    Thanks Jack

  2. Hey buddy,

As with most things a good basic skill set will enable you to progress you're skills quicker; i would recommend focusing on getting track stands sorted. You won't be able to do to much if you don't have a good balance/stance so make sure you're ace at it.

Then, as i did, just try practicing rocking between front and back wheel only coming off the ground by a few centimetres. After this begin to increase the size when rocking backwards a little. Soon you'll be able to add a small kick in; after a while you should be able to do a couple of small kicks. You may not come off the ground but only roll forward, this does'nt matter just add a little more kicking power and lift more with you're arms.

When you have this nailed try and get straight up to a hop without using endo else you will be restricted with what you do (normally easiest when rolling slowly). As you progess add more power and try to improve technique by watching videos ect.

Top tip would be to make sure you point you're toes down on the pedals when kicking as this makes you sort of lift the bike (as you do when you bunny hop)

    Hope this helped =)

  3. geo looks pretty good, cant say im that keen on the looks, but as with every bionic frame they are amazing value for money so you cant really go wrong, go for it

    Alright thanks,

I actually like the look of them but i guess it's personal choice.

    Thanks for help =)

    Jack

  4. Yeah, i agree with Laurence! Echo bikes from what i've seen are well built and more than good enough for someone new to trials, i'd even say they go above and beyond a beginners bike! Also it seem's a very good price as many new bikes with a lower spec could go for more than that =) Get buying and get riding! :)

  5. Yeah, to pedal kick you have to use 1 finger on the brake so make sure your doing that! If you can back hop, when your on the back wheel practice just hopping on the spot a few times till balanced and then just lean slightly forward and give a slight kick with your stong foot. You may not get air but even if you just wheelie and brake repeatedly you can add the jump in.

Alternatively start by rocking from front to back wheel only coming about 1cm off the ground either end and then when balanced next time you rock backwards, give a kick on the pedal. Thats how i learnt, then you just take the technique forward and do it from stationary, then when you can do that, try from rolling!

    Hope this helps, Jack

hey, just saw that you said you have trouble taking your finger off the brake - i would recommend that get hopping on the back wheel and then practice taking the front brake on and off in time with when you hop. Then start doing it with the back, this way if you do it wrong you wont end up hittin the deck! Doing larger hops when you start on the back brake will help as you'll have more time to get re-apply the brake =)

  6. Hey everybody, just starting to get back into trials and im looking for some advice/opinions/recomendations on stock bikes as im unsure of whats good and bad? I first started trials on a 20" onza t-bird which i liked but im not too keen on the onza stock bikes =/

    So,

What makes are best for stock bikes?

Advice for beginners for trials riding on stock bikes?

  7. Hey,im looking for a stock bike now as i used to ride an onza t-bird but have now decided i need something a bit bigger as im about 6ft tall.

I do like the onza brand but im not so keen on there stock bikes (allthough i do like the limey but it's out of my budget) so not sure on a brand? I've got a medium size budget (£200-350), possibly the lower end unfortunately =(.

Any advide would be usefull, even if its just a list of good makes?
