Yeah from that spec it looks like it should be fine. Don't know the exact differences between the duals and i series processors but simply put the i series is better than dual core which is better than a single core. Not sure if you know this but here a simple explanation on a few components that may help you with choosing a laptop. processor - affects the speed of processing data (doing things) RAM - affects the number of tasks that can be run simultaneously Dedicated Graphics card - IF you have this it can take some load off the processor when it comes to graphics

If it's a Laptop its pretty hard to change the processor, largely due to each laptop being different sizes and as components fit snugly inside it. If it's a desktop its not as difficult I don't think but it may be worth getting the manufacturer to do it for you. Not sure on the the differences between the generations but personally I would recommend just getting the best available when you buy it at the start. As then you can guarantee a long life time and its more economy friendly. Else you have a half decent laptop that will need to be replaced within a couple of years.

Yeah, you don't have to put an answer down so I will narrow it down by elimination and then take my chances. I obviously am revising as well just wanted some advice really.

Hello all, So i'm in my first semester at university and I have a negatively marked multiple choice module test coming up and just wanted some advice on approaching this! Here's how it works for my test 4 options per question Correct answer = 1 mark Incorrect answer = -1/3 mark So my thinking is if I don't have a clue on an answer I may as well just guess. This is based on some simple fractions. Say I guess on 4 questions, there is a 1/4 chance that i get each one right which would result in the following marks. 1 correct = +1 mark 3 incorrect = -1/3 + -1/3 + -1/3 = -1 mark Overall = 1-1 = 0 But, I also just thought, if I stand to gain no marks on average is there any point in guessing when i have no clue? Would it be better not to guess at all and if I have to guess only do it when i can narrow down the odds to say 1/3 or 1/2 so I have more to gain. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated - if you have experience with these especially so! Thanks Jack

Yeah i will do, but it won't be for a while yet, as i don't have my bike till i get back from uni for Christmas and so will be after Christmas i think.

Yeah I think i will just get some new bar which are higher ( have tried my cousins and i like the feel) and then stick with the stem! Bars as said above but i'm pretty happy with the wheels ect as i'm really not good enough to notice the difference at the moment or in the near future =)

Hello! What would you guys suggest too upgrade on my stock (thinking about Christmas and birthday!)? Both brakes work well so not upgrading them =) This is my current thinking: New high rise bars to give it a more trialsy feel Single speed conversion (Removal of sprocket and derailleur and adding spacers as it is already single speed) New pedals? (They are fine but the outside on both is bent quite a bit inwards and can feel it a bit) Any suggestions for products would be great =) Thanks, Jack

Hi, Just wanted to know if there are many riders in the Stafford area? I've just started Uni at the Stafford campus and will have my bike up after Christmas if any one wants to ride? Not that good but will ride at least one day most weekends and some weekdays depending on work load. Jack

Should you invest? Hell yeah, if not you will do what i did and always be wishing you had a bike for ages!!!!!!!!!! Got into the habit of looking for bikes, see one i like, about to do something about it and then not buying due to the expense. But now! Got a bike, love riding, so happy i got it. Really should get one no matter how much time you have!

Thanks for all the help witht this, turned out the current freewheel had siezed up due to water getting it in and lack of use. Managed to get it working good now though =) Now just need to sort out rear sprocket which is easy! Topic can now be closed.

Thanks, did get him to refund him for the hanger and just let him know how unhappy i was with the problems and he has just offered full refund less postage...looks like i got to weigh up the costs of fixing it

Thanks, so the simplest (Cheapest) option would be to use one of the current if 15t (if not buy one) sprockets and use single speed spacers so the others can be removed and then also replace the FFW?
