  1. ahh my friends, thats it you see what was i gunna do, it had no return to sender address, and its just what i needed!! thats all im saying
  2. Well, isnt this a funny little thread. Firstly Ali C....BRILLIANT u made me chuckle HARD so hats of to you !!! So, ive spoken to Matt Vandart today, he enlightened me to this thread, as ive been away i didnt know it existed, ive had a read, and its kinda silly really. hope u find this as comedy as i do!! trust me youll like the end result!! I've BROUGHT some bits and pieces off of ryan and he was always nice as pie to me, very helpful and the items came quick and nicely packaged, seemed like a nice chap. Now it can get very frustrating when people on the internet start saying stuff and getting the wrong end of the stick that controls the band wagon. I'm not by any means defending him, his actions or the situation as he left out some small but major details (which pissed me off) about products i had bought (which i struggled to sell on as they didnt fit my bike) i contacted him and had no reply so i was just like f*ck it, ill sell em for cheaper than i got em if the willy wont to talk to me!! Aaannyy way. i was kinda appaulled at the way everyone jumped on the kids back and it seemed like it turned abit nasty and horrible, ok he shuda kept the receipt and whatnot but who hasn't scrumpled it, thrown it over the shoulder, excited, on the way to greggs to get a pasty and a dohnut huh? yea blah blah he should of handled himself better and other people may have had issues. fact of the matter is all the key board warriors jumped on his back, ive seen it 100x over on reptileforums etc. all u people slated him for his attitude...if i was onza i wouldnt sponsor, or want to ride with ANY OF YOU!! Now this has been resolved we can have some peace round here. i havent been on as ive been away on my yearly mushroom picking trip. excuse the pun lol. Now im back and hello to all, think thats it now, thanks for reading peeps. seems like i was kind of a lost link in all this. Yours thankfully Sam Crouch P.S oh yea, what i said before about ryan not talking to me about the items I bought, he kindly resolved that problem by sending me a nice new set of tyres....CHEERS MATEY, it was lovely to come home to them sitting by the door !!!
  3. so i need some blue rim tape so you can see it through the holes in my 26" wheels, i can only find 20" in blue or these these?? what you think, ever used em?? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=39482 Dont mind them saying the make in white if they dont pop through http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=36337 Dont realy wanna get these as they will po through my holes a lil bit :/ Sam
  4. your so god damn helpful!!! haha, well im using an old saracen xile frame ive got lying around, resprayed and cleaned up, should work a treat, im just building an old skool type bike style that i used to ride back in the day. still not back to work due to my broken wrist so im just keeping busy really, gunna go balls out and get a 24 when im working again!! and your right, ALOT has changed!! when i used to ride trials when i was 15 u were lucky to get a v brake booster and a chain stay protector from MBUK!! haha
  5. looks like theyve already got em on there??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220868043407?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_500wt_1202 if i need to get the adapters, i might just get some new forks as these sidekicks seem REALLY heavy!!
  6. Does anyone know if maguras fit on a pair of sidekick forks?? might have to buy another pair of forks as they are all ive got for my 26 :/ the brake mounts are x2 bits of metal sticking out the frame, not the two holes on top of one another?? Sam
  7. DMR kit?? might just get one of those actually, its all coming back to me now!!
  8. thanx for taking the time to do that for me bro i appreciate it thanx for taking the time to do that for me bro i appreciate it
  9. ok im with you now, ive already got a bottom bracket tool, which is the same as the one you mentioned?? and a chain tool, ive got one of those as im a plumber
  10. right i see how that would work yea, and its not to bad a way of doing it, so where does the gear ratio come from on that, my front crank is quite small, not as small as a middle burn, but is rather small, its a truvitav set :/ oh and whats a chain whip??
  11. Hey guys, basically, ive got a set of 26 wheels, with an speed cog on the rear and a single speed on the from cranks, do i need a rear mech?? does it have to go to the bars to control it with a shifter?? how can i get it down to a single speed?? is it best to just put a shifter on and stretch the mech out along the frame?? i was gunna get a tensioner but the wheels come with 8speed cogs so its kinda baffled me!! Dont laugh ive been out of the game for a while im building an old school type trials bike out of some saracen xile trials bits ive got lying around while im off work Sam
  12. ill second that one guys!! useless tools (excuse the pun) lol i went in for a bottom bracket tool, and the guys like....whats one of them!! WTF!! Theyre all tescos employees, can u blame them, really? come straight out of school and they want to get a job that's "productive" and has career prospects, maybe they want to be an engineer!! YEA RIGHT!! ill second that one guys!! useless tools (excuse the pun) lol i went in for a bottom bracket tool, and the guys like....whats one of them!! WTF!! 13. thats true, i didnt think of that, i just looked and where the little silver strengthening derllieur things sits into the frame, am i governed by that then??
  14. Gunna put my bottom bracket, crank and rock ring on my freshly painted frame soon just wondering if anyone has the rock ring on the left?? My left foot is always forward when i pedal hop etc so its my lead leg that goes down if/when i slip to the rocker just wondering if anyone has the same issue? i had a thought if its on the right itll hit the frame more? its a 26 and ive been riding 20 for 5 years :/ Cheers! Sam
  15. im in london allday tomorrow, any good shops for trials i can go have a peek in?? Sam
  16. Hey guys!! I got an email congratulating me on winning a taster session with the lads at the Bristol Redbull session this weekend! Thing is, i cant get there and im still hitting physio for my broken wrist, its not ready for any riding yet, ive still got to have the pin taken out! Thought there might be some lads out there that didnt get a place, so basically mines up for grabs! It says just print it out and take it down there so i dont know if it requires ID as it didnt mention anything? The only thing i ask is for a lift down there and back, i know there's a lot of people in rickmansworth and london etc so shouldnt be too much to ask! Im only after some piccies really and a good day out! Give me a PM and let me know if u fancy a drive over there! Sam "knottyloxx" Crouch
  17. Asks the question where are all the trials parks in the UK? Wheres the scene biggest? Would it be worth an investment? Hmmmm...Might look into this, maybe it will take the beauty away from street VS natural riding! Must say i do fancy going for a ride now, after spending half hour thinking of lines that can be done!
  18. Whered u ride in herts??

  19. Didnt think they would be much good like, its a 20" bike the one im looking at, was just thinking for the mrs to get her started is all :/ Maybe not...lol
  20. Didnt know diamondback made a mod trials bike :/ anyone got any feedback on them? weight, strength, how much etc? is it more of a beginner bike? how much would you expect to pay for one with maguras and decent wheels and cranks?? Sam
  21. Nice vid, i like the bit with the nosey window people looking on as u do them bollards!
  22. Thanx for your reply buddy i appreciate the feedback , thats just the answer i needed about the 24s. Sorry for the typing problems and my massive inability to "talk properly" and use silly words that no one on the forum would understand! Im sure every one who reads my past posts wont understand and i apolagise to them too, i will refrain from using any kind of slang in case of offending the majority. For future referance. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sick Just incase u dont understand as its too foreign for you (i hope u dont mind me putting little faces)
