snapped heat treated bars?i agree.but normal crmo ones bend ages before they crack.

i´ve never ridden anything trialsy when it comes to handlebars,my opinion is that steel is reliable.
got this 100x25 stem,and a 35mm rise bar made of 4130.
the only thing i´d change would be the rise,3" would be good.
upsweep changes to "forward sweep" (i´d call it),when the bars are rolled forward,i think the less of it,the better.
going for atomlab too.
i think mark´s right,bike mechanics are always...(am one,too lol)

i think bmx handlebars would do the same as some old fourplay bikes look lol

i made it out of an old mudguard mount from a cheap bike(supermarket atb).
the weird things are the plates of an old bmx style chain tensioner, they stiffen up my rear bolts.

this bike is absolutely stylish

thanks guys
it looks shorter than it rides, with that stem it shoots you up an obstacle from standing next to it with the front wheel nearly touching it.
i had a kore lite3d stem on it(also oldskool) but it was too low.
i wish i coul paint over the graphics, maybe in winter.
next project:SRAM dualdrive hub trials conversion

i am a bicycle mechanic, and i know wht i am talkingbout.crmo does bend a long time before it will snap.except heat treated shit.
weight is the last thing i am thinking about,i´d rather think about staying alive doing my already dangerous sport.
i´ll have to sig someones lightweight freakyness post when i hear of him getting smacked because his aluminium bars snap lol.
a good bar should have about 550g if its crmo, otherwise it could snap because of the heat treatening it needs to be that light.
street trials isnt comp, its more street, and with my 92kgs i need reliable parts
just my opinion
edit:stackers suck cos theyre ugly...
