  1. right I'm up for the ride I'll see you tomorrow
  2. hopefully see you there don't know if I'm 100% free though so its a maybe for now but I'll txt sunday morning maybe around dinner time saturday earliest if I'm coming is there any free parking close to the station?
  3. max is a good rider plenty of skill and the patience to help out with newbies aswell ive riden with him once in cambridge. im in st ives and have an onza t-bird that im starting with so pm me any rides planned and ill try to get to them
  4. where do you ride ive got an onza and im just starting out so could be good to ride together and see who can fall off the least lol im 6 ft 3 at 14 and 1/2 stone and i run my maxxis creepy crawler at about 20 psi if im trying to back wheel hop onto curbs then it just misses the rim and general hopping about it has loads of bounce
  5. Ahh sorry i missed this I'm free this sunday (4th) i know where pallets are in st ives and I'm just a noob so can't do much but still like to learn. there is a guy in st neots aswell can't think off his name (ill edit once I've checked) that's after people to ride with maybe we can sort out meeting together for a ride edit: crazy drummer is in st neots there is also euljeune from cambridge who's a good rider to learn from he was very patient with me even when i got a flat and had to go back to my car to sort it there is james aswell can't think of his user here that was willing to ride cambridge untill the snow forced a cancel. in short there are a few of us dotted about I'm surprised that its taken this long to get a response
  6. I think all saving is out the window at the minute but my way of thinking is that now i have found the limit of the blacks i must be improving as they were easily holding where i wanted when i wanted before so i must be pushing what they are capable of
  7. Ok my blacks slipped last night lol roll on the “told you so“ comments end of the day I'm a noob and am just commenting from my experiance so far and untill last night blacks had held fine
  8. I live in st ives and seem to be the only one riding trials here. i agree its always better if you ride with someone else what you up to this weekend?
  9. Probably can't ride. i know I'm no pro as I'm still trying to get pedal hops but they hold fine for me. if anything they hold better than my adamant a1 running hs33 greens on an old grind with a bigger massively stiffer booster end of the day its all opinions. i can run around all day shouting the sun shines out of my ass. just because i might be mad enough to do it doesn't mean its true you might think its bull and that it shines out your ass. makes no difference really. blacks and a smooth rim work for me that's my opinion
  10. I'm using new blacks on a smooth rim on my onza tbird and with my 14stone bouncing about on them they hold fine
  11. Lol definate conversation killer with the postbox lol i might have to try that
  12. The only problem with riding is people presume that riding is both wheels on the ground all the time usually at speeds unknown to trial bikes going some sort of distance
  13. I've always wondered this aswell as there has been a few people that ask what I've been doing and the out on my bike comment has caused major confusion and when i say its a trial bike they look at me weird and say they haven't heard of that name then i simplify it and say its a trick bike and they always seem to start going on about distance riding and scenery untill i finally click and realise they heard trek not trick so i give up
  14. Yeah I've met max a couple of weekends ago he's a good rider and was really helpfull ill try to make it but at the minute I've been collared by a mate who i owe so depending on how long I'm helping him will depend on if i can get across to cambs
  15. Would u be alright having a newbie ride with u as i might be up for heading cambs if there's people about. I'm wanting to ride with more skilled people so hopefully i can get better. I'm not one of this people who annoy with the “we have the same bike can we be friends“ crap i genuinely want to learn from better riders. just be prepared for a whole new level of newbness lol i can hop around on the back wheel and sidehop but I'm trying to get the hang of pedalhops but failing misrably at the moment, just to give you an idea of my level
