Didn't even need a new chain as the comp as shorter wb and cs, oh well, some things are just nice as new! Need to visit my Dad to get it up and running! BB, chain and headset fitting! EDIT - Finished the cranks, kind of, not doing the backs, I mean i'm not fussed, Tim Minchin helped me get through them nicely!

'Tis alwayys the same person that delivers my Tarty order, 'more stuff for you bike' he always says to. Today he said does everything keep braking aha!

I have Trialtech forks (mod) they have been cut at an angle, for use with a sloped stem, yet I use a Trialtech forged or sport, whatever. Just put a starnut in and bobs your uncle!

Thinking Of Throwing My Hs33, And Use V-Brake Instead.

Go dual disc, or brakeless! -
I honestly don't think it's worth it aha, I mean 1. I have nothing else to do, well college work but yeah, 2. I dont have a freewheel tool. 3. The pedals are helicoiled into the cranks so would rather keep the bond since it has been done (never taken them off!) Ahahah, plus that would mean me going out to buy some stuff...

Cheers! All 3? Or just the downtube one? Do you think I could use an angle grinder to get it smooth faster than a file, the file I have is on its last couple of hours. And I just though maybe try how high I can go with brakes, I could never really do big sidehops with brakes bbut now without, I can! Plus I really mis being able to gap far. EDIT - I can't really do much now, rain is on/off every so often so I am not trusting myself to use an angle grinder in the wet, and cba using a hand saw :L Guess I could pump the tubes up, think I may raw the cranks now..

Finally something that makes sense! Just orderd a super cheap bb and chain so should have it running by the weekend! Build thread in the making!

Without cams, these thick black washers? EDIT - Fitted the black washers, goes in the frame, perfectly! Should this fix the problem with tightening too? True life saver you are Sam!

Also, could I run the hub with no spacers on the axel? Too many and it is stiff, rubs on the bearings which won't make the wheel turn. Too little and they just sit there, freely. And if I put 3mm worth on each side it just doesnt work out correct :/ And a few times when I do tighten the wheel into the frame, I have to do the process above ^^, cheers.

Had a go then, vice grips on the stuck side axel, 10mm cone spanner on the other, tighten the bolt up, give it some beans, voila! EDIT - Cheers guys!
-
Tried that.. It's just eating away at my axel.
-
I knew there was something, cheers! Will have a go in a bit!

Edited it And the only other way would be to take it to college on tuesday or see if my dad has one.
-
Tried that too, it just automatically undoe's the one that isn't stuck, if that makes sense? And no no it isn't.
-
Just tried with some mole grips..nothing, gave it to my step-dad..nothing :/
-
Yes.. As I am guessing it somehow got screwed in to much?

Comp 2010. Its more of a question about the hub bolt being stuck.

Just got a new frame in the post, has 110mm spaced dropouts so with the Echo TR hub, I have to use spacers. I had a quick go of fitting it earlier and the disc side bolt and washer has gotten stuck, I don't have a clue how.. How can I loosen it so I can make it work. I tried tightening the other one and then loosening the the stuck one, but that just seems to loosen the not stuck one. I am guessing the obvious answer is going to be put it in a vice? The one I have is in a certain position where I can't fit my wheel... Cheers!

Cheers for that.. Now how to get it into a new frame?

Trying to do a bit of a budget build and I don't really want to spend £10 on Tarty for 2 headset cups, as postage prices have gone up, it will be a very tight budget. So I know people use an old seat tube to get headset cups out of a frame, is there another free way? Same with fitting a headset. Do people still use the block of wood and a vice way, or is there another way, or would it just be best to send the cups to Tarty and have them fit it along with the BB? Help appreciated

Wow.. Sh*ts going down. Sent telepathically

Have a picture or link of some sort mate? Won't be such a waste then eh!
