brakeless is for my fixie ... Iv'e tried it on my trials bike. I never got on with it because it changes my riding style so much. Also I did look at marino's whats all the hype about? are they any good? I've seen a few people preaching about them... I don't really fancy a steel frame but I'm just curious

How could I get the o rings on the inside of the tubing bearing in mind I only want the cabling hole to be tiny, small as possible so not to affect the integrity of the frame? Expanding foam sounds like it'd do the trick just fine less fuss... Unless you can prove me wrong because I don't get how to put the o rings in Cheers

ZIP TIES ARE DISCUSTING I think i might do it. It's going raw aswell... I saw the pictures of the skye when chris raw'ed it and it looked frikking shweet. never really thought about it hitting the insides of the frame on gaps/hops ect... nothing that a little expanding foam insulation couldnt fix I spose

hmmmm.. I'm pretty sure if I keep the hole circular it shouldn't be a problem to be honest with you the grinding off the guides was my biggest fear. mark's riding is huge anyway (he was part of the 24 2011 tour am i right?) I'm pretty sure kenny's bike hasn't seen the light of day for years now but he has no excuse so I'll do my best. Cheers

Hi all I'm looking to get myself a hex in the coming weeks thanks to persuasion from my friend MrKenny. I've just been looking at internally routed cabling for the back brake. Obviously it would void my warrenty but is it actually going to weaken the frame much seeing as inspired are bombproof anyway? If I were to do it obviously I'd aviod welds but where are the stress points on the headtube/downtube I should avoid?, could I grind the hosing mounts off the frame without too much hassle? and finally how many people think I'm utterly stupid for wanting my bike looking as slick as possible? Both have their advantages Magura -More pad choice. -Lighter (new hs33 weighs just over 200g) with a full hose) -because the brake is mounted on the rim closer the the point you are trying to stop in theory its a better place. -you can bleed with water because the brake dosen't genarally get hot it won't boil the water thus thinner and more responcive feedback (will freeze in cold however). beware of sticky pistons because the oil acts as a lubracant for the system water is cheaper than oil and more brake friendly. -from my experiance it's a more powerful brake. Hydro disc -Works just aswell in wet conditions -more moderation (bettter for rolling moves) -from my experiance more froks available in disc (the last pair of froks i bought were disc and vee so I had to get rid of my magura). -no annoying squeeling -if set up right they are plenty powerful enough they have always made me a better rider eg: gap to front relying less on front brake and more on body weight and accuracy of landing. -if your wheel becomes untrue your brake is unaffected. -quite a range of hydro brakes around there is only 3 front hydro rim brakes I know off habd and one Ahemmmm (Echo) is nothing but trouble Feel free to add or argue with me people. I don't know if i'm a little too late suggesting this but perhaps Avid Elixir 3 i have the elixir 7 on my limey and I'd recommend it anybody. the technologies are pretty much the same taper bore, air trap system ect ect apart from lever body being bulky and ugly (in my opinion) its a good brake. http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/avid-elixir-3-disc-brake-180mm-front-oe-id67848.html - (I do work for J E James cycles but at £54.99 i'm hardly doing my pushy salesman pitch) - a little more information on taper bore. on last thing. it comes in post mount only so with the £10 your saving you might need an relevant adaptor.
