  2. Hi, how tall is you're son? The Sting is for riders between 4' and 5'. Our daughter is 4'5" and all I've done is cut the bars just over shoulder width, rolled the bars back a bit, dropped the stem down a spacer width and adjusted the brakes closer to the bars for her little hands. She seems to manage fine now. Hope he likes it, it's just time on the bike and practice all the time.
  3. How wide should you're handlebars be? My girlfriend is 5'3" and wants to start trials as our daughter has also started riding on an OnzaSting. Is there a standard width or is it a feel thing. Ive just bought a 20" Genesis and when she stands on it, it looks like her arms are way too stretched out. Cheers Mark
  4. Are their any Fife riders out there? We are near Leven.
  5. Hey there, Ive ridden Motocross all my life and arm pump is the devil. Ive found that the best way to counter it is by mentally forcing yourself not to hang on too tight and relax your grip at every opportunity. Bar and lever positions come in to it too but relaxing your grip is the key. If you try squeezing your hand in to a fist and hold it under pressure you'll feel your forearms getting tighter and tighter, relax and it immediately goes away, this is the arm pump principle. Hope this helps.
  6. Thanks for that, I take it its still nearly as lush in its standard form? i think i may have just ordered one……now, what to tell my girlfriend when she comes home??? Lol
  7. Just wondering if anybody had ridden the Onza Genesis 20"and what their views were?
  8. Hey there, Im new and was having the same problems on my 26" so i changed my stem to a 160mm x 35 degree rise from an Onza Rip (£20 on Ebay). It comes up really easy now, but still working on the timing and balance.
  9. Thanks for all the advice and help guys, she is now the proud owner of an Onza Sting. We put purple grips on to make it a bit more girlie.
  10. I've seen an Onza Sting about an hour away from us. I think due to kids bikes being a bit on the scarce side i'm just gonna grab it. The specs say that its for kids between 4' and 5' so it sounds about right.
  11. Our little girl just came in and told us that she wants a trials bike. She proceeded to take us outside where she gave us a demo on her balance and bumping up kerbs……quite funny! Anyways, were not wanting to buy new until we see if she likes it but kids bikes seem to be quite rare. She's 11yrs, 135cm / 4'5" tall and is gymnast so she's flexible got good balance and amazing strength for her size. What size of bike would she need? Thanks
  12. Thanks guys, i'll give that one a go. I'd already tried a 130x10° which i found in the shed but it felt terrible. It sounds like the120x17° will bring the bars up and in a bit. I'll post how i get on.
  13. Was there any pictures or vids from the Kirkcaldy ride guys?
  14. Finally managed to get some pics attached. Im thinking that the stems too short and not enough angle and the bars are too flat!
  15. Hi, I'm a new member and cannot fathom out how to upload photographs? Can you give an idiots guide to this please? Im using a Mac. Thanks
