yeah my SKY connection was like this, its to do with the congestion on the line, the more people there are connected to ur exchange the slower it will go. but saying that mine was super slow at the peak times, had it for about 2 weeks and was really fed up, so rang sky and moaned she said there wasn't anything she could do. since the day after that my net only drops to about 3 mb at peak times instead of dial up speeds! and that was almost about a month ago now
