well, my hair is pink so i don't think my bikes colours are the first things onlookers think about

heh, the colortheme is made from superstars components about £110 for everything purple/green, just wanted to try it out and got the original black stuff if i get fed up
she's hopefully willing to learn to ride it :>
(will see if shes devoted to it)
-
i'm a newbie but have a steady income and like stuff for me and my girlfriend to be bombproof i ride the skye most of the time, she rides the fourplay
180mm rotors will be equipped on the fourplay once adapters arrive.
Edit: finally motivated enough to bring my photo equipment home from a friend.
changed back to original seatpost and saddle, got too much with the blueishpurplish saddle...
will use the purple seatpost if i can find a smaller black saddle with rails though.

heh, well yeah, it didnt turn out as aweome as i imaginated, but surely there's worse builds imo.. but as i get it trials people only seem to like "badass" builds in black or raw that screams "yeah, im a though mothafker, bitches"
-
hmpf :/ oh well, guess i'll post it again next summer if i trash it enough to motivate a new paintjob this season

Those colours are grim. It's worse than Danny's green components!
heh, i'll choose to translate that into "grym" in swedish (cruel) but also "awesome"
-
interesting, bike colour accents in the colour of the riders hair...
hm, not really, my hair is pink and the bike is supposed to be orange/purple,.. only colors that plays well with orange is imo purple or green, and hopes team green kinda destroyed it for me
-
my skye does it for me.
Hope rotors on its way (need to have spares i reckon)
got purple superstars "excel" grips with orange lockrings/barends but they're too fat for this kind of riding so a set of "supagripa" in the same colors are on its way
ah, will look something like this but with ^that^ saddle and these grips, only smaller:
-
so, yeah, uhm, yesterdays riding got me to invest in some spare rotors...
-
First day ridingt my Inspired Skye, 4th day riding a rigid bike since highschool, will be fun to see how much progress my "old" and broken body can do this summer

Edit: seems the first clip got f*ked up, the video freezes but starts again at 1:47
EDIT2: fixed video

Finally got my demo ridden skye, about £1000 discount for some marks in the paint, with new rotors, pedals, handles, seat etc
too bad i didn't like handles of pedals at all, so i borrowed superstarsstuff from my demo 7 until my latest superstars order arrive on wednesday
Edit:
some "updates" made on the skye:
Got a fourplay pro with hope trialzone for the girlfriend (and me), 180mm rotors will be equipped once adapters arrive.

ahm, strange forum, totally avalanching offtopic discussions seems to be totally fine?
-
and then the chainstay cracked?
lol, elixir brakes, how did they hold up?
they sucked so bad on every bike i´ve seen them yet
no pun intended,serious questioning
i got hold on the Inspired skye for a £1000 less than retail.
got to say i was impressed, much brakes for £75, we'll see how much better Hope Trialzone feels, i can just compare them to Hope Tech M4's, Mono M4's and Tech V4's, Elixir R etc on DH-rigs.
for a beginners street/trials bike they worked fine after a proper bleed and setup.
-
Got a Demo ridden Inspired Skye dirt cheap from the retailer here in Swe, think it'll do in this thread once i've got to put my hands on it, a hint, it won't be boring.
anyways, here's my "old" Onza Zoot DD, had it for 6 days...
Elixir 1 brakes, Superstar Components through pin pedals and Excel grips, 180mm rotor up front.
-
Onza Zoot DD, first trials oriented bike ever and first hardtail in 10 years, stock grips where thrown after 5 minutes riding it...
Superstars Excel grips and Nano through pin pedals on their way, and a pair of Elixir 1 brakes as well.
first day of riding it was a pleasant surprise, took a while to get used with the long stem but after that i did manage to jump up some stairs, sidehop ~35cm and some other basic stuff. (my body will hurt so much tomorrow)

did you send the cash with the free option @ paypal? i imagine always getting the seller to make an detailed paypal invoice would be better in terms of spotting the fraudulent ones, costs a little but would be legally more binding than a using the "send money to friends and family (NOT FOR BUY/SALE)"

i've recently got me a pair of these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mobile/MobileModels.aspx?ModelID=71082 only used them while testing out my dh bike around town but they're worlds apart from regular skate shoes in terms of sole/ankle support.
my Skye and Fourplay pro (updated)

bought it new without brakes, but i got the original 180mm rotors the elixir 5 uses, may aswell use them since 18vs160 is quite big difference in stopping power and modulation imo
